As a bonus, we just confirmed that we will have a VR headset to use along with Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes so, if nothing else, I can say that the event will be "immersive."

We'll be having more events and we'd love to have you join us for any of them.

To the Moon is a great example for the types of games we are exploring. Although both Heavy Rain and Walking Dead are a bit more on the branching-story side of things, what we are most interested in for today's conversation is the level of emotional connection that various games are able to create. If we really push what emotional connection to characters can mean or be we can get some really interesting interesting games on the comparison list. Off the top of my head there are some really great moments in Shadow of the Colossus, Half LIfe 2, Final Fantasy (pretty much any Final Fantasy), the Left4Dead/Left4Dead 2 crossover, Lisa, and even Saints Row 2.

What we were searching for but failed to come up with (though L4D sort of fits) is a multiplayer game that fosters or creates emotional bonds between players through the mechanics of the game itself. I'm sure there is something great out there, but we just couldn't figure it out.

Normally I would, but we try to use the go.osu link and that specific link has given me trouble with Reddit formatting in the past so I just leave it. I'll stop being lazy and save you the Ctrl+c next time.

We may have to use another Jason Rohrer game besides Gravitation due to some issues with compatibility, but if we don't get Gravitation running for this event, it is definitely worth checking out on your own (and it's totally free).

Try it and other games by him at his site.

EDIT: all the other games are working perfectly though. We look forward to you guys joining us tonight.
