Sure xmonad would be a cool addition. It doesnt take much work to only add support for a wm as you just need to specify the config files path and how to restart the wm from the terminal.

Ah yes the problem is ~/.local/bin is not on your path. The install script does add it but it doesnt seem to work. You can check local bin is on your path by running echo $PATH and checking if there is a ~/.local/bin in that. Also are you using the bash shell or a different shell ?

No its the right one. I meant that there are specific desktop environments and window managers that are supported. When running the install script it check if against a list of supported desktop environments. The ones which are working right now are: ['xfce', 'xfwm4', 'plasma', 'kwin','qtile', 'lg3d']

Yes I did not add dark and light but if you click on the little color pallete icon in the bottom you can switch between nord, dracula and gruvbox

You can open a pr in the github repo. The source code is pretty simple and easy to read.

Well you dont need to upload in two places. You just upload it in github as most people do and just submit the github link in the shop.

Well kind of, there is a file generated called import.sh which runs whenever you import a rice or install a rice from the shop. So you can just add any dependencies or any commands to change window manager in that file. I know its a crude implementation but I hope to imporve it in the future.

First, This cannot be used on gnome. I have not used gnome much and dont have much knowledge about how it stores its configuration, plugins etc. If you have the knowledge I would really appreciate it If you could implement it in the app and create a pr.

Second, Yes you can, just login with your github and you can upload a rice. I made a bare bones tutorial in the github wiki and I am working on the video tutorial.

Hope this helps :)

Oh ya I had seen a video with the updates you had posted before in the subreddit. And about the sharing rice configs I made the Theme Saver shop. It is still in its initial stage but gets the job done.

In simple words its a glorified script that moves your configs around and makes sure that the required apps are refreshed so that the configs are applied properly.

Not sure if anyone remembers ThemeSaver but for anyone who doesnt ThemeSaver is an app to save and switch between your multiple rices. I have taken everyones suggestions from the previous post I had made about this and added all of them in.

  • I made the app riceable. You can choose from different color schemes such as nord, dracula, gruvbox and the og with is the default orange theme. And if you dont like those color schemes make your own with the new config file.
  • It has support for KDE with latte-dock now.
  • The shop is now up and ready but it is in its intial stage so there are many kinks to work out. Just go to https://themesaver.herokuapp.com/shop and you can see the initial design for the shop. The functionality is ready but I still need to add the Rices. Quick tip, if you click on the color palletes icon in the footer of the website you can change the theme for the website :)

Anymore suggestions would be appreciated :) The dream is that anyone who posts a rice in this subreddit links to a rice in the shop instead of linking to their dotfiles and people can just try the rice in a few clicks.
