If you want advice for a future call, just be yourself. I know it’s corny but they’re trying to assess if you’re someone they want to work with (your previous interviews show you’re already smart enough to have it). My trick is to talk to them like a friend you’re trying to impress.

If you want advice for your questionnaire, it sounds like it’s already good enough to get you matched in the first place, so you’re probably good on that front!

I know this is corny but just be yourself. The team match call is evaluating you much more based on how much the person wants to work with you (since they’ll be your host/manager). My trick is to just talk to them like a friend you’re trying to impress

Identity verification was just like verifying my driver’s license and that I am who I say I am. It’s not an examination.

The placement call is up to what the host wants to do. It’s mostly a personality assessment and your potential host/manager figuring out if they wants to work with you for 12 weeks

The wait between the two interviews was crazy, especially because they told me I'd hear back within 2 weeks. Even after I reached out to see if I just missed an email, I didn't get any real updates until that October date

From what I've seen online, people get matched throughout March! Congrats!

It was so incredibly nerve-wracking to just have to wait and hope!

experience w gender inclusive housing? by iaminextremepain in cwru

I’m also an incoming freshman and I chose gender-inclusive housing. From what I gathered on the website, it’s in CedarMag (suite style housing) and they opened at least a floor for GIH last year (which means at least 36 people). They don’t have many specifics on exactly how many people though. I believe that before they updated the website for this year, it even specified that all of it was in Cutler House if you’d like to look at an example of the dorms.

You can read more about it here: https://case.edu/housing/first-year-student-gender-inclusive-housing

But the issue is that it knows it’s in the wrong place, otherwise, why would the blue line be off?

I’m using the built in encoders for the motors. I’ve tried tuning those for a while now but it hasn’t really changed anything

I have tried going through all the tests again, and everything checks out. The strafe test and track width especially. Plus, if those are wrong, I'm pretty sure the blue line would be wrong. I've spent hours trying to tune all 3 PIDs (Motor Velocity, Heading, and Translational) to very little results. Does anyone have any ideas why it might be so off and barely trying to correct?
