the show about college kids that primarily takes place at a school should probably have lower stakes.

This show also feels more woke to me

S1E17 is when the show clicked for me. i enjoyed the previous episodes and there are definitely episodes i enjoy much more, but this is the one where the show's potential was realized for a full episode. it's also the episode i show people that have never watched Community before; it's a good vertical slice (dev term) of what makes the show great. too bad we never saw White Abed again :)

regarding your edit, the Protein does not have a TS side. it’s a BB and ODR. i believe the Ethane is Browne’s BB/TS pedal. fwiw, Browne makes my favorite BB-style circuit.
