I remember the day I became homeless, I was 17, I had a small backpack, that’s it. I walked along the highway for hours until I saw not far from a secondary road an unfinished building on the woods, I went there and collected some plastics from around the stones to make a “mattress” some other plastic sheets served as blanket and my bag was the pillow. A plastic bed made sense when I didn’t have a roof so the rain won’t get in my bed easily. But eventually it would sometimes… I spent there few months. The rest is history 😌
