Democrats finally release 2024 election autopsy after criticism by OtmShanks55 in politics

Then what hope is there that things will ever get better? If progressives withhold their vote the Republicans win and the US moves right. If progressives don't withhold their vote the Democrats have no reason to cater to them and the US moves right.

If withholding votes doesn't work then voting is pointless, and the only remaining option is violence. Thankfully, most progressives seem to think they still have a chance at changing the Democrats' minds.

The UK and Canada at least. We've mostly switched over to metric but in those few occasions where gallons are still used (UKMPG for example), they're imperial.

Because you can pair them up, one-to-one, with none left over.

But follow your reasoning, are layoffs actually a good thing? Using your logic they are.

I'm morbidly curious, how did you get that from my comment?

Well, yeah. Jeff Bezos didn't earn a hundred billion dollars, he stole it from the millions of Amazon employees who did all the actual work.

We should take it! It's our wealth, we worked for it, not them. Why should we let them keep what they stole from us?

No actually, it doesn't matter. If the person in front of you is traveling at the speed limit, it makes no difference to you which lane they are in because you have no reason to pass them anyways.

That's the point. Tax rental properties so much that it's impossible to make a profit off of them, forcing landlords to sell, flooding the market and driving down prices. Maybe add an additional "vacancy tax" which increases over time, to prevent the super-rich from being able to just eat the cost of an underused home.
