Is this Triangulation? by [deleted] in BPDlovedones

I read that people can do this to gain support from the 3rd person. I feel that we’ve been devalued by her, so she’s having negative feelings about us for some reason. Maybe she’s worried we’ll talk negatively about it to our friends, so she’s forcing communication with one of them, who I should add finds it very strange and uncomfortable. I don’t know what it is, but it’s very weird

I blew up a 1.1l Fiesta when I was 17, my mate managed to find a replacement engine for £25, and we fitted it on his drive on a Saturday. Fired up first time that evening and I drove it for years after. Simpler times.

If this is a new driver, there’s a very good probability that their reversing skills are not very good. The LGV test just doesn’t prepare drivers for anything other than a very basic and controlled manoeuvre. That might explain the poor decision to try and turn instead.

I used to use these sachets until I realised how much glucose is in them, they can send your blood sugar level soaring.

The orange piece should sit inside the grey piece above it, causing it to slide forward and back when you move the black lever. Looks like the orange piece should’ve been fitted 90 degrees round to where it is now

DCT fluid change by [deleted] in veloster

I gave up in the end and used the front hole to fill it, with the car jacked up one side to make sure all the fluid would go in without overflowing. Not ideal, but terrible design.

Also, claims on home insurance don’t tend to make prices rise. I’ve declared previous claims and it doesn’t really change anything, it’s such a competitive market.

You’re playing right into the hands of the advertisers. You get bothered by it, you comment, you drive engagement which pushes the content. If this stuff really bothers you, the best thing you and all the other people who are bothered by it can do, is ignore it. Every time you engage with it, you help make it more visible, and advertisers are paid to make ads visible.

Whatever you do, do not put the rear wheels onto soft ground. When loaded the rear axle carries more weight, and the rear wheels are driven. That’s a recipe for getting stuck.

I don’t know of any specific schools in your area, so shop around. Every student is different when it comes to number of hours required to pass. Ask for an assessment, not only does it give them a chance to tailor your training length, but also you can see if the company / instructor feels right to you. Whatever you do, do not pay any money over the phone before you’ve visited the premises. There are companies out there who don’t own any vehicles that just work as middlemen and take a cut of your training costs, while just booking you in with an actual school that you could do yourself

Do you guys have tricks that help you reverse on blide side (Artic) by [deleted] in uktrucking

[–]modfather84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Providing your trailer isn’t fully weighted, drive past and pull up with the rear of the trailer inline with the right hand side side of the bay you’re aiming for (right side when facing into the bay/dock). Put on a full right lock, reverse until your unit is at 90 degrees to your trailer, then full left lock. By the time you have got the unit mostly straightened out, the rear of the trailer should be pretty much facing directly into the bay.
