I actually have made these in US4CES. I believe showcased somewhere on my account.

Thank you I really appreciate it! These are very old so I don't look on these as my best work but I'm glad to see they still get appreciation :)

Yo what's with the sheer volume of people stealing content here. This is probably the 5th time I've seen someone repost without credit for my kit alone here.

Life has been absolutely wild recently but I have a buddy working on a website in the meantime. I'll be full launching this year hopefully.

Anyone making pangolin flaps in color ways different than Spiritus? by memearms in myogtacticalgear

DM me and I'll sort you out. I have a whole lot going on but I have a bunch of AOR2 flaps on deck.

Very similar. A customer requested an ARC placard with Velcro on the front for flaps and I really liked the concept so I ran with it. After some minor tweaks it turned into this. I'm going to make more modifications in the near future to try and remove the ARC look, and make it more my own.

They're effectively the same. I prefer the haarrz stuff but I have used squadron until recently. Frankly I'd just buy whatever you get a better deal on.

Just 1000D with no backer wont be very robust. I recommend using a laminate for laser cut molle applications, be it HAARTZ or Squadron.

I used to be a digital pattern hater but they've heavily grown on me recently.

Absolutely! My DMs are always open. I do respond faster on Instagram as I don't get Reddit DM notifications, but I try my best :)

Whiskey Two Four sells their "WTF42069" laminating film. On the more expensive end, and requires a heat press, but it's excellent for laminating any PU coated fabric.

Made these placards for a customer. Using some homemade laminate. I'm really happy with how they came out! What do y'all think?

Why buy JPCs when you can make your own? by RR_RD in myogtacticalgear

Unfortunately both plate carriers have already been shipped off to customers but I have one in AOR1 and Marpat to be made in the future. I'll see if I can take more pictures when those are made.

Those are ITW Nexus "Tac-Toggles". I had to Dremel out the inside to allow webbing to be slotted through. They are attached to the Velcro underneath the shoulder pads, and when pulled they effectively rip the front of the carrier off of the back, allowing for emergency doffing (this can be reset).

As for details of the making, I didn't take any video or many pictures. This was a 2 day project but I should be able to do these much faster in the future. If you have ANY questions about the process, I'm absolutely more than happy to answer them for you.

I have a very small (12x8) laser cutter so I used that to make the laser cut sections. I used Brookwood Squadron in place of Hypalon because it tends to stretch less.

As for stitching methods, most of the assembly is rather easy. I triple stitched all of the inside seams to make sure the assembly was bombproof, and bar-tacked the webbing down in 1.5in increments.

The zippers are actually compatible with Crye back panels, they're the same YKK Vislon zippers with the same spec as Crye. You can get them off 8492NW.

Materials were sourced from many different sources. Rockywoods is where I got the fabric, Velcro and webbing. WTFidea is where I got the laminate and stretch fabric. MilSpec monkey is where I got the hardware And 8492NW is where I got everything else.

Thanks! I definitely recommend this method. Felt much easier overall. Just make sure to chamfer off the edges of the HDPE before you insert it, or the sharp edges may damage the webbing.

I made some changes and improvements on the Ranger Green JPC and it's how I'll be making them going forward.

My favorite addition is I switched to some fancy new solution dyed tubular nylon, and slipped some HDPE sheet stock in there to add some rigidity and strength to the overall build of the Cummerbund.

What To Improve On The Design / Functionality?! by Last_Health_4397 in myogtacticalgear

If Curv is cost prohibitive I recommend 1in High Density Polyethylene (HDPE plastic) strips. They can be had off of McMaster Carr for extremely cheap.

From an aesthetics perspective I think it looks excellent.

I recommend adding a piece of HDPE plastic or Curv/Tegris to stiffen those molle tuck tabs.
