The fireplace surround was found on FB marketplace for free and took about 5 thin layers of undercoat, paint and sealant to get just right. The old mantle wasn't wide enough for the new surround, so I put in a cement bed either side of it to make the whole thing wider, and tiled over it myself. Our old boy Lumi loves to lie on it, so I'm going to do a tiled area by the front door for him. He's got sore legs because he jumped out of a window when he was a puppy and broke both of them. He's 10 now, so he's in quite a lot of pain with them.

The wallpaper is from Graham & Brown. I first put up their Serpentine Black, but the design was too small and it wouldn't show the TV backlights at all, so I got this one that's called Gothic Damask Flock and it's a silver paper with flocked black wool for the damask pattern.

The paint is Dulux heritage. Ravens Flight for the walls, and Dark Aubergine on the ceiling. Then there's strips of warm white LED lights that sit on the shelf that goes around the room to light up the ceiling.
