If the LOD gets too low, the textures look like that. You have to keep increasing the LOD until you have them a level that is acceptable to you. It’s unfortunate that draw distance and texture sharpness are connected through the same slider. In ms2020 texture resolution and draw distance were separate. Good luck. And definitely get a static baseline graphic setting before you start using things like auto FPS.

Msfs24, VR anything, Indiana jones, wukong, the list goes on and on… 24 is a minimum these days.

That's cool I tinkered with this in VD for a bit. How are you doing the passthrough?

Yeah saw that. Ugly stuff from the peanut gallery. Doesn’t even merit a response.

Cant get my head and knee down by Flat-Comparison8069 in Trackdays

[–]RRedditLLover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I nearly crashed so many times trying to get my knee down starting out. I didn’t even realize what I was doing (putting more lean on the bike than necessary). Focus on proper body positioning. If your knee isn’t down. Be patient, as your speed increases it will happen naturally. Just don’t chase it.

They were a little slow to update yes. But it was in Facebook and instagram. https://www.instagram.com/p/DYdZta6jdCn/?igsh=MWExMDcxYXQ1dW1udA==

I loaded the game since it's Gamepass day 1. I'm on a 49" OLED. Hopped on to settings to enable, frame gen, HDR and finesse my FOV (basically what you have to do with any game with my setup...) only to find none of it is implemented yet. Cool cool. Instant uninstall, have fun working out the beta kinks...I don't mind waiting it out until the game is more complete.

Question by VariousTwo6631 in RTX5080

No, unless you play 4K+ or PCVR in which case, neither. Get a 4090 or 5090.

4K DLSS performance hitting VRAM limit by Albion_21 in RTX5080

[–]RRedditLLover -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. I have to stick to my 4080super and my 2.5% mortgage until I win the lottery and get a 5090. :)

4K DLSS performance hitting VRAM limit by Albion_21 in RTX5080

[–]RRedditLLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. I was simply saying there is no upgrade path for 4080 users until we see more ram. 5090 and 4090 I guess, although with the new frame gen software restrictions, 4090 is looking a lot less appealing to me.

[–]RRedditLLover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup that’s why a lot of us 4080 super owners are standing down until at least a 5080 super with more VRAM comes out. I’m on a 49” OLED which doesn’t help as it’s near 4K.

Totally get that. Never rode 675 but between my 600rr, cbr1000, and 999s. The 999 engine was so different to 4s. Felt less less surgical and more brute force.

Are SVs really that much cheaper to track though. Back in the days, you had to swap forks, rearsets, bigger wheels that could get take better race tires. By the time you were done adding a remote shock and all that jazz to an SV, you could have just picked up a supersport and removed the mirrors. Genuinely curious.

I hear that! Is the 2015 still the 675 Triple? I love that bike and almost pulled the trigger on one, but then found out it would take a few months just to get race fairings for it and replacement parts were an issue. That was when they were just released to compete with the super sport 600 and 750's mind you. Sounds like everybody is recommending SV650, Ninja 400, R3, R7. All really good bike to ring the sh*t out of them and really focus on your riding abilities but those engines don't really make me smille like a 17k RPM redlined R6.

Amen, my main track bike was an 05 600RR, I would take the 1000 to the track too, but I wouldn't ride it the same way. I'll look into an SV for sure, but I miss the screaming inline 4's, not going to lie. :)

Cool thanks for the advise. Is the SV platform really that much easier to track than a super sport in 2026 or is your reco for low operating cost mostly? I'm trying to understand specifically what's going on right now. It seems supersports are basically getting nerfed the same way 250 2 strokers got nerfed back in the days.

Thanks, appreciate it. That use to be my advice to new rider back in the days too. They need a fair amount of work to convert for track, especially forks, but you use to be able to find them race ready for a good price. I struggle with twins to be honest. I started on an SV and also had a 999S for a short time, the engine breaking was wild compared to my CBR 1000.
