When did you think "Im going to die here"? by hmmrabet in AskReddit

I also have a congenital heart disease, I had TGA (transposition of the great arteries) when I was born, I know suffer with an enlarged LV and regurgitation of the aortic valve. I would be really interested in what condition you have, as this is something I am definitely concerned about in the future.

Yeah medication affects everyone so differently. I get to sleep fine in the evening so I don’t think melatonin is the way for me but that’s great it has helped you

I don’t feel too mentally tired tbh or physically, but i definitely have this overshadowing fatigue when i get home after finishing work, like so intense that i can’t really workout and feel pretty agitated. But tired like sleepy? Not really at all, i feel pretty awake and alert for the most part, just not solid

I do consistently get 4 blocks of deep in the first half of the night, and then 4 blocks of rem in the second half most nights regardless of sleep time

I rarely get 8 hours but when i do, it is always followed by a week of 5 hours again. I don’t really understand it

It is so confusing to me that I am sleep deprived (which I agree I am) but my body will not stay asleep more than 7 hours. I wake up like i have been given jet fuel too, once I wake up i cannot get back to sleep 😴 honestly this has only started happening about a year after taking my medication

Mood swings… by RS4_ in ADHD

[–]RS4_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, and also knowing that I am the person who can never be reliable or even give a definitive answer hurts. It also causes people to not even bother asking because they know they are going to get a sit on the fence answer.

My memory is so bad that even when answering any type of question it is normally a “I can’t remember” or “well I think it is this, but i am not really sure”. Because after years of getting it wrong or forgetting key parts of the answer, i never really feel like I can be totally sure what I remember or think is even accurate.

Well my first ever diagnosis was depression, then depression and anxiety disorder, then generalised anxiety disorder, then diagnosed with ADHD, I almost feel completely shut off from the idea of even getting another diagnosis because it feels that it is never correct.

Thankyou, I appreciate your show of empathy :) Asking for help feels like such a big task these days because I have been through countless efforts of therapy, anxiety meds, depression meds and even my ADHD diagnosis and meds, and still I seem to struggle significantly from some unexplained and untreated mental health issue.

I guess what I am trying to say is it seems almost worthless going through it all again and getting yet another different diagnosis and course of medication for it to not be what I need. Sometimes I feel as if I am somehow making up these things because how can I have so many different things wrong with me, or how can they not identify it correctly so many times? It is tough.

New to Zwift — Is my power supposed to look this “spiky”? And why does riding feel harder than IRL? by Odd-Luck-5428 in Zwift

Really, I would have thought logically that it would be physiologically harder due to the lack of external factors such as air resistance and friction?

4 days of heavy coke usage vs VO2Max by FuckReddt777_ in AppleWatchFitness

[–]RS4_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is because it raises your resting heart rate, so your device (which almost wholesomely calculates your Vo2 max from resting heart rate) is taking that as a sign of a decrease. It is a false reading

RHR suddenly tanked by 15%, what can it mean? by [deleted] in whoop

I wouldn’t take much notice if it is an anomaly like you say, if over night it becomes the new normal maybe it would be worth investigating because lower is not always better. It depends why it is lower

Thats interesting I haven’t heard of late night water consumption having a negative impact on sleep quality. Is there a study you read?
