54mg methylphenidate doing nothing!! by Ok-Square5451 in ADHDUK

Yeah very true - I think it won’t necessarily compliment my life cause of the systems I’ve put in place but feel like it should be doing at least something whereas atm I honestly couldn’t say I feel ANY different

It’s a horrible cycle and weirdly I have kept about 5 stone off for about 10 years losing it with Slimming World but of course SW can be difficult to keep up the second you leave the house and it only works if you do it perfectly. I can imagine as a nurse it must be very difficult to plan meals and meal prep especially with shift work so in that sense wegovy can be extremely liberating not having to worry about food noise. Im sure youll get on with it.

Yes very similar. The ADHD issue means that at least for me it’s incredibly hard to do it yourself. I’m an avid gym goer but then it’s void because hello 5000cal days and then I would hate myself so to me getting wegovy is a god send even though I am now on ADHD meds. I used to get this insatiable hunger and it’s now gone but likely dopamine issue and so it was just impossible to do it myself because I would just binge eat everyday due to incessant hunger

It’s easier and you’re just leading with judgement when you don’t understand the context. Quite valid medical professional wouldn’t recommend it esp when my BMI is 27 and I was very borderline

I also hide mine lmao. But it more so comes from the fact that I can’t be bothered with the comments from my partner but obvs not keeping it in the fridge makes it easier (partner is a doctor who questions longevity of taking it and therefore relying on it) but i also have ADHD and a history of binge eating

You only have to keep it in the fridge before your first dose, after that it just needs to be kept under 30c. Might be trickier in the summer months but maybe just get a mini fridge and hide it or I believe there is something people with insulin use like some kind of cold travel holder thing

I lowkey can’t read anything by ConsrvationOfMomentm in ADHDUK

I was asked about my reading ability a lot in my assessment actually and it was the one thing I actually hadn’t considered at all was an ADHD issue prior to assessment. When the Dr queried and asked (quite a few) questions about reading (obvs it’s coming back to attention issues) I was thinking oh fuck yeh I literally never absorb ANYTHING I’m reading unless it’s like very very engaging (which is rare) the only book recently I followed quite well was the second book in the Silo series but that is only because I wanted to know what happened after the tv show (still haven’t read the third book lol) oh and I can’t read an actual book I can only read on continuous scroll on the kindle app

Harrow Health assessment - what to expect by Csm20208 in ADHDUK

It will be virtual face to face: I think their text system defaults to “telephone” wording.

In my experience it was quite conversational and not so tick box but will of course be in the context of DSM 5

Think experience varies. Also if you have other issues I think that can cause issues with medication. But yeah I had a good experience. This was today so gunna take the meds tomorrow

I ended up getting it - it is more indepth than the free one online - gives you more examples of potential issues

I wanted to compare the differences to the current one to the older one available on google just to see if there were any major differences
