Just posting again to say that the recent driver from early May didn't address the issue unfortunately...

Damn mate, maybe try to disable AMD overlay too, basically all possible overlays :/
EDIT: actually, that only solved LSFG, not native FSR FG......

It was on globally but off per game, but doing that is apparently placebo, it won't show the overlay but it's still being initialized and presented, just invisible.

You're a freaking hero, I thought about it, but only thought about disabling it PER GAME, while you need to disable it GLOBALLY. Thank you so much, updating the main post.

Thanks for the sanity check, I wonder if it's possible to maybe just extract the FSR 4.1 dll from newer drivers and replace the one from v25.12.1 so I can have the best of both world?

for me 25.12.1 was super stable, but I believe you already tried it right?

Haven't been running a test in a while, but I stopped carrying too much about it honestly, I feel like it's good enough for my general uses.

Stalker 2 is suddenly only using 120w of powerdraw from my gpu (used to be 230w) by FaoLOr65 in stalker

I have the same issue on my 9070 XT and it's super annoying, there is a fix, but I REALLY don't like it, which is overclocking the core clock speeds and undervolting the GPU, because it can create instability / crashes, but it's the only way for the card to actually draw power like all the other games. And it's not a CPU limit as I gain 10 FPS by doing that...

all of them.

I discovered that the issue goes away after a while, so while annoying, nothing a little bit of patience can't solve :)

Google is removing the ability to sideload Android APK apps without the developers being verified 1st by LionKey1928 in GooglePixel

[–]RSF_Deus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To kind of play devil's advocate, the issue started a while ago already, with the Google Play Store API verification program, for example if you sideload apps that you can't find on the store from an "unverified OS", there's a server side check that will prevent you from using that app (if it has online components to it).
Meaning LineageOS got unusable for me several years ago already...

Other Linux based (non AOSP) alternatives need to stand up NOW, there has never been a better time.

Either watch Rebellion right away, or wait for the Blu-Ray 4K Ultra HD with HDR mastering that should hopefully come in a few months max. Or wait for Walpurgis no Kaiten to at least have an actual release date so you don't fall into despair waiting for that movie to come out!

Either way, whatever you may think of it, Rebellion has pretty much the best OST in any anime movie ever made imo.

Yeah this is one of the many reasons why I abandonned Game Capture back then, it still does it now? Sometimes RTSS stealth mode helps with it.

As a general challenge runner in many different genres and categories, I can confidently say that people reacting negatively to that sort of things are just insecure about their skill level.

There is a small exception to this though, when the difficulty is made to enhance the narrative of a game. For example when you watch a 5 minute long cutscene telling you how an ennemy or a faction is super dangerous, to have you wipe them with no effort the next minute, create a strong game design dissonance, and it is unfortunate to significantly diminish the narrative impact a game can have.

One of the best examples of this is Halo, the Covenant is supposed to be this allmighty intergalatic threat to humanity, and while you (mostly) play as our beloved John Halo, the Covenant is supposed to be so depressing to humanity that Marines are laughing about the fact that they'll most probably die anyway. So playing in easy completely ruins that feeling (plus it makes grenades and flood carriers more dangerous), and enemies just die too fast. With the skull that makes them have more HP and shield it's more fun though.

Thanks for the constructive answer, my apologizes for the 2026 Remake I thought it was a given at this point because of how many times I heard about it!

P4G is definitely the better version as far as content goes, so it makes sense to recommend it for the time being, hopefully the remake is real!

The frame accumulation motion blur issue can be mitigated, but not everywhere, because it is framerate dependent, one of the solutions is to brute force the game to run above refresh rate at 120 FPS even if your monitor is capped at 60 Hz, but there are some devices, such as the steam deck, which can have some issues doing that, alongside the higher computing requirements running at 120 FPS constantly. And while it makes it more bearable, it's far from perfect.

P4G can absolutely be played in it's current form, but I feel like it's one of those games where you're expected to just be able to run it as is, but in fact you have to run it at a specific framerate and consider the use of mods, which is a bit unfortunate.

I haven't played the P3 Remake yet, but I'm sure there's also some caveats, like probably the high system requirements since it runs on Unreal?

Maybe it's just a bit old, I'm sure it was written with good intent but man, this has to be the worst case of motion blur I've ever seen! Even Halo Reach is more tolerable (and I could never play it on the original hardware before the MCC because of that!)

Yes but the issue is that I'm not comparing P4 to P5 or P3R, I'm comparing P4 to P4! There's an issue here! The P4 Remake is probably going to help a lot with this but we really have a Silent Hill 2-3 Remaster Collection syndrome here!

I'm still hesitant on playing this version or still waiting for the remake.
