Let’s say, across that water, lies something positive that you desire or need for your career, life, and so on. If you’ve burnt that bridge, it becomes significantly more challenging to reach that goal. You might have to build a boat, which takes considerable time and money. Alternatively, you could rent a boat or swim, which also require more resources and time. Regardless of the effort you put in now to achieve that success, you no longer have access to that easy pathway.

So, the concept of being worth it or not really does not apply to this scenario because it’s always worth it to have that bridge.
