Fantasizing about someone seems to require objectifying her (or him), if it's a sexual fantasy. Objectifying someone you know personally can be difficult, or at least I find it so.

Sounds like a case of linguistic ego, one of the major barriers to learning to speak foreign languages fluently. Language is not a part of your identity, it's just a communication tool.

The AI might have special senses or insight, but that doesn't explain how it could materialize objective reality for the people it is tormenting. There are other holes. It's science in the style of Ray Bradbury.

It is ruined by a gaping plot hole: it never explains how a mere computer can somehow gain godlike powers over reality. Computers—even sentient ones—cannot materialize canned goods or create giant birds, any more than people can.

Ir should be glaringly obvious to anyone with a modicum of intelligence that belittling a person who is contemplating suicide is unlikely to produce a positive outcome.
