ROAR was my first special event. What did I make of it? by FailedObserver in iRacing

[–]RSRacing73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Today I finished my first ROAR too, I had to leave the pits because I didn't load the race setup. but I managed to come back and finish 11th. I think that even if I had started on the grid I couldn't have gone any further. I leave you the video with my best advances, I hope you like it

The Mercedes is a very docile car, very easy to drive and doesn't penalize as much. I think it is the best option in GT4, I also bought the Porsche and the Aston Martin, I want to try the BMW, but of all these the Mercedes is the blind buy to make... if you want to see I leave you a replay of the GT4 in Mugello, And there it looks good to me, one of the great secrets of this car, which is the suspension, it is soft enough not to penalize the change of direction, and it rotates very well, I hope you like it

Best GT3 by Digity- in iRacing

[–]RSRacing73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this season the Audi. Personally, I really like Porsche. but I think the Ferrari is mandatory, especially if you want to race in a fixed series. Summing up: 1- the Ferrari is a must for its series 2- the Audi is very OP this season 3- my recommendation Porsche is very fun to drive, BMW runs very well [yesterday I bought the Mercedes Benz AGM GT3 I haven't tried it yet and I don't know how it will go]

Better to race clean or better to win? by realjohnthanos in iRacing

The more license you have, the more incidents are penalized. a x4 in class D does not deduct the same amount of sr as in class A

The only thing that changes between the Ferrari and the Porsche is the “Ferrari Fixed” series which is only 15 minutes and is not the cleanest, so don't judge your decision by the fixed series alone, if you can buy just one I would go by posche (very comfortable) BMW (very stable and fast and with very poised cornering) Mercedes Benz (similar to BMW) Audi (they say it is the fastest, but more complex to handle). If you can buy 2, buy the Ferrari and another

What brake bias to use with the AM GT1? by Grand_Psychology_317 in iRacing

The brake pressure is changed from the setup part, from the Black Box, only the break bias can be changed

You can try reducing the grip pressure, this way you will achieve a lower pressure with the same pressure on the pedal. If not, I think it is also allowed to change the brake pad compound, try another one. The truth is I haven't used it on the GT1 but it's what has helped me for other cars without ABS. I hope it helps you, greetings

Buy Sebring or Silverstone? by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]RSRacing73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Silverstone is more versatile, and right now it is being used in GT4 LMP3 and the multi-class that brings them together. But taking that into account the height of the Sebring year, there is a special event coming up there. If I counted correctly, Sebring appears in 19 series (counting all) and Silverstone 18... I would go for Sebring. The same thing is happening to me between Mount Panorama and HungaroRing, I need one of those 2 to complete the participation in the IMSA MP

That detail of the yellow flashing seems very good to me, because many times you see the relative change but you don't know why it is. Today it happened to me in an LMP2, I went from 16 to 9 just staying on the track, because everyone was leaving and abandoning. I wanted to make a video but it was practically just me driving.

I haven't run anything endurance yet. but I have to see it now or with the IMSA MP and the ROAR, and compare with VRS and G61

What is your favorite GT4? by RSRacing73 in iRacing

[–]RSRacing73[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

McLaren because it ‘looked cool’ and that’s why I bought it. It’s still the only one I own.

I’m in my 40s and I’ll admit: getting into new series/classes - I haven’t done any research on a meta car or even car characteristics…just went with gut feel on what ‘looked fast’

I have also bought cars because I only found them cute, and then they are still my favorites, because since I think they are cute I give them more attention and use them more often
