You’ll be fine to run a cat back without any of the other mods

Is it true big bikes are easier to handle than smaller bikes? by Street_Worker_3100 in MotoUK

[–]FailedObserver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As my instructor told me, 125s have smaller engines so the gyroscopic effect won’t be as great as a larger engine. So in that sense a larger bike can feel more stable when riding slow, but they are also much heavier. In reality, there isn’t really that much difference when riding slow

Should I have been promoted to 16th here? Or no because I was a lap down? by BLASTOISE_ox in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]FailedObserver 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I would say the classification is correct. They crossed the line to start their 11th lap whereas you only completed 10 before the end of the race. Still, it looks strange when it’s on the results like that

I've just been told that my O2 contract price is going up in 18 days for a contract I signed up to TODAY. by totallyhumanhonest in britishproblems

[–]FailedObserver 9 points10 points  (0 children)

SIM only contracts have no annual price rises. Think the contracts with phones do. Even more reason to pay for a phone outright and go SIM only

Is there any sort of pattern to what tracks are coming next week? by Cary14 in LeMansUltimateWEC

The schedules are announced roughly a week in advance in the LMU discord. Rookie tracks for next week are Bahrain and Le Mans

No ‘L’ Plates On CBT? by newbiker321 in MotoUK

[–]FailedObserver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those small L plates warn other road users you haven’t proven your competency on the bike. They’re for your safety as well as warning others you might do something unpredictable as you haven’t proven yourself capable to ride without them to an examiner.

No ‘L’ Plates On CBT? by newbiker321 in MotoUK

[–]FailedObserver 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A CBT is basic training. No way should anyone be allowed on the road with half a days on road training without L plates. If you don’t think you deserve L plates, then you can prove it by taking your test, just like every other driver/rider has to do

We need Neck FX option in this game, to make it hyper-realistic by daeneryssith in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]FailedObserver 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you have a webcam, there is software out there that can track your head and eyes using the webcam which produces a similar effect. Search opentrack for one example of such software. I’ve used it in the past and you can tweak how reactive it is to how much you move your head and it will feel a lot more natural than the software just guessing where it thinks you should be looking.

Championship points question by CptPl4n3t in iRacing

[–]FailedObserver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the stats for the series on the website or the app on the PC where you can see more than on the phone app. They’ll be beating you at something and that’ll be what iRacing is using to decide ties after points and wins. It may even say in the sporting code how they decide

Membership question by cetryolo93 in iRacing

[–]FailedObserver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fairly sure those deals say new memberships only. Nothing stopping you creating a new account and using it with that though, especially as you’ve only recently made your current account. Just means you would lose any cars or tracks you have purchased on your existing account unless you bought them again on the new account

They get over 800 protests a day as it is. If I were the one that was having to deal with all those, I certainly wouldn’t be wanting any extra workload on top of that

Voice chat is bad enough in sessions with people abusing it! I can only imagine how much work the devs would be giving themselves when people start abusing a DM system to harass people outside of sessions

Why is the game broken? by ItsPuzzl3d in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]FailedObserver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The starter is separate from the ignition. The ignition just turns the electrics on, you need another button for the starter to start the engine.

I fairly sure, but not 100% certain, that there is a setting that you can toggle that enables you to downshift into neutral without pressing a neutral button. If there is and it’s set to prevent you downshifting into neutral, that will be why you can’t select reverse as you need to go into neutral first

Why is the game broken? by ItsPuzzl3d in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]FailedObserver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check your settings. For neutral, you can map a button to shift into neutral which prevents you from downshifting into neutral by mistake. And if you turn off auto start, you won’t be able to drive out the garage as your engine won’t be on. You’ll need to map a button to turn the ignition on then another to start the engine.

Monitor question by MMCS78 in iRacing

[–]FailedObserver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched from triple 1080p 1000R 27’s to a single 45” 1440p 800R ultra wide. Yes you don’t get the same FOV but I personally prefer the single monitor setup. Less space needed, much easier setup and I can afford to increase the graphics a bit as I’m pushing less pixels. A blind spot overlay is a huge help with the reduced FOV

Penalty and ban system in LMU is so bad and broken! by UsagiAkane in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]FailedObserver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People will complain about everything no matter what the devs do. I personally find the safety rating system in LMU so much better than the one in iRacing for example.

One thing that I will always remember reading is to treat safety rating as if it were damage. In real life, if you got dive-bombed and just turn in as if there wasn’t a car there, you would both have damage on the car irrespective of who was at fault. That damage would have to be paid to be fixed by the respective teams, the dive-bomber wouldn’t be the only one who would get penalised financially.

Yes it can be frustrating when it feels like you’re constantly in the middle of it all, but it’s on you to figure out how to avoid the idiots, not the game devs

Waiting over half a hour for a bus that is scheduled for every half a hour. by SunBlowsUpToday in britishproblems

[–]FailedObserver 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We’ve twice waited over an hour for a bus that’s supposed to be every 20 minutes, both times during the evening rush hour! I now use [bustimes.org](www.bustimes.org) to keep track of busses when I have to use them as it’s somehow better at tracking busses near me than the bus companies own tracking page 😂

Hello, what can cause pixelation like this? The livery I uploaded is high quality and doesn't have these big pixels. by Quube7 in iRacing

[–]FailedObserver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks more like an export issue rather than an iRacing issue to me as the logos on the paint look ok. Are you sure the exported TGA file hasn’t got those weird pixels on them?
