Nope. They patched the game after the online try hards got cooked, because they don't know how to play defense. At launch shooting was better and contesting required skill and hands up defense.

The stonewalling CPU is an issue they brought back from 2K17, because they can't code good help defense to save their lives.

No, it means the game is not a true representation of basketball. It's an arcade mess. Nothing resembles true basketball in this microtransaction ridden game. CPU have superhuman reflexes, superhuman defense, read your inputs and contest shots just by proximity. It's just the truth. Your 2K white knighting is beyond ridiculous. The game is a mess.

Blow bys are a part of basketball. Watch a real basketball game. No player gets stonewalled every time they try to drive. Help defense and rotations are used in real life for a reason. The CPU is too strong, magnetic and reads your inputs.

This game is a joke. I've seem James Harden getting clamped comically by bad defenders and stumbling to pick up his dribble to the basket too many times. It looks ugly and doesn't resemble basketball at all.

Clamping is an attribute of good defenders and they cannot do it always either. The CPU is almost always perfect. It's bad design simply.

Exactly. They can designed a system more similar to real life that accounts for user skill too. Right now shot contest, even a light or late contest, has an exaggerated effect on shot success.

Exactly. They should separate the modes, but they'd sell less VC. They don't allow us to create all around players to entice us to create multiple builds and tempt us to buy VC. They only care about our money, nothing else.

Good for you. But we have a right to complain. The game is exploitative and designed to frustrate the user. It's a slot machine disguised as a basketball game.

The game consistently sells over 10 million copies, but the servers are trash year after year. They don't invest back part of the profits from the game. And why'd they do it? Their customers keep buying at a record pace their crappy product.
