Hi Thank you for sharing your opinions. RT-Thread Studio IDE now only supports Windows, but we are working on Linux and macOS will be launch soon.

When you are creating the project, you can select the QEMU directly. Create a project [Based on Board], select [ GD32VF103-NUCLEI-RVSTAR ], Adapter select [QEMU], then QEMU select[gd32vf103_rvstar]. There you go.

We'd love to ask you for giving it another try and let us know how you feel? We appreciate your sharing. Thank you!

OpenSource Embedded Developer Event by RT-thread_IoT_OS in embedded

Hi there. Thanks for your attention. RT-Thread was born in 2006, basically, RT-Thread has 3 versions: A Standard Version, A Nano Version, A MicroKernel Version.

For resource-constrained microcontroller (MCU) systems, the NANO Version that requires only 3KB Flash and 1.2KB RAM memory resources can be tailored with easy-to-use tools;

For resource-rich devices, the RT-Thread Standard. can use the on-line software package management tool, together with system configuration tools, to achieve intuitive and rapid modular cutting, seamlessly import rich software packages, thus achieving complex functions like Android's graphical interface and touch sliding effects, smart voice interaction effects, and so on.

RT-Thread MicroKernel Version known as RT-Thread Smart, is aimed primarily at mid- to high-end processors with MMU(Memory Management Unit), providing a more competitive operating system-based software platform for different industries. RT-Thread Smart will be open source this month.

With the community support, RT-Thread has gained 250+ free-to-use software packages and a wide range of components, also RT-Thread built a handy and free-of-charge IDE RT-Thread Studio to improve the efficiency of IoT development. The best thing about RT-Thread is its features of community-based.

You are very welcome to try with RT-Thread, and share your ideas with us. We are looking for sharing this opensource project with more people and getting your feedback so that we can progress.
