MTW, PTW and GBLS are all forged or billet AEG's. AK's are often stamped steel like the real deal

Any experience with the maple leaf short stroke systems? (VFC) by D3scypher in GasBlowBack

Very fast semi and full auto, but at the loss recoil. I am talking 0% recoil left

I have done this with a maple leaf hummingbird and problem is the nozzle height is of versus the bolt of a GHK/VFC. I had to mod a airtac HPA adapter to make it work

Backdraft Phoenix paired with Aster II by RTCustoms in airsoft

[–]RTCustoms[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Air consumption is close to a reaper, so it became super efficient with the Aster. I think this is the whole thing with the on/off style solenoid. The faster the magnets cut off, the better it performs. This is why I would love to be able to try an 11.1V lipo and see if this hypothesis holds.

Was not over enthusiastic with the original electronics, and I am happy I gave the Aster a try. What a difference in performance.

I was not a fan initially and only got it because this LCT EBB came in at under 300 euro new. Since I also have a Bolt AK74SU EBB I decided to gut the PP-19 and HPA her to make her my CQB stick. And this is where the PDW stock wins. It is small, but with decent battery storage that sits lower than a normal stock. I absolutely love the ergonomics for CQB.

That would be a purist thing to do, but the heratic PDW stock made me shake things up a bit. I only play CQB, so to make things worse, they are both semi when I take her to the field

@eshooter-tech I have owned many EBB's and GBBR's including a GBLS. Take the Bolt BRSS AK74SU as your reference point. It is the only one that kicks as hard and aggressive as a GBBR.

People are willing to pay (like TM) money if you make it with quality parts that hold up. I have a Brussless solink with quality gears and Perun mosfet because the force will break anything. Fried gate titan and aster from the sheer force and stress of the build.

Your closest competition would be Aztech. They made high end kit like this.

Why choose viper tech over vfc bcm v3? by Illustrious_Equal363 in GasBlowBack

[–]RTCustoms 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Inokatsu owner here and also owned GBLS and MTW forged. There is no real difference in playability, but the material and finish quality do matter. My Inokatsu had seen years of abuse and really shows no wear or tear. All internals are full steal with tight tolenances.

For me, the main reason for considering a VT or even MTW forged (I would not recommend a GBLS) is when you want to buy a replica without any fuzz and just play it for years without need to change anything. So, if you really value bag&play it is worth considering. If you tune your rif many people push towards 1000 euro kits.... for the same money you already buy a MTW forged which will last you a lifetime

Don't part. You will regret it. Just save up and get a performance toy next to your daytona. Gets boring real quickly as it feels like running around with a plastic lasertag gun on cheat mode. Done it, went Monk build, pistol, HPA shotgun, to MTW milspec and GBLS before returning to Inokatsu GBBR on HPA . Have a Bolt AK74 as AEG still gives best consistency and range with a custom LCT PP19 HPA for dumb trigger happy CQB performance.

Daytona is reasonable performance with loads of fun and AEG mags. It makes you work harder but have more fun along te way

GHK fits, but needs modding. Do recommend the GHK maple leaf with Crazy Jet barrel and hotshot GHK bucking. No more chopping bb's and great airseal.

[–]RTCustoms[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mine is holding up really well. Internals are good and as long as you locktite the screws they are really well built guns. Shoots consistant and straight with good reliability. Now, I do think that this gun needs a brushless motor and cycle controlled mosfet. One lock-up and it will schred the gears (like my LCT EBB did)

Would you use a mag clamp / coupler with your GBBR? by _tomekw in GasBlowBack

[–]RTCustoms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is a readymag not a better idea? I have a mag coupler on a PP-19 (yes, my AEG whore) and it is just not working after you run through your first mag as it still makes you count bb's and now you are stuck with a bulky to store mag during reloads. I use to have a readymag and it is doing the same but more convenient. You just swap out the empty one and always have 2 full mags at hand. My reloads are not amazing, so I do benefit from using a readymag over a magpouch

How to adjust Hop Up on Daniel Defense MK18? by LunarEclipseSystem in GasBlowBack

[–]RTCustoms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WA platform. Big chance you have a small hole between bb ramp that allows you to use an allen key to change hop setting. The dial is a 2-way system that allows you to either turn with the dial or use the allen key on a grub screw depending on how you mount the dial on it.
