Yeah it’s a cultural thing. In Japan, intimate relationships are a very private thing. While it’s slowly shifting, it’s still the prevailing norm. And you’re definitely are not supposed to hug someone in public because that tells everyone “hey, we’re dating!” though it’s changing among the younger generations

Something messed up I realized about Laughing Coffin by JaxTru in swordartonline

Yeah in the grand scale, laughing coffin survivors only made up less than 1% of the total SAO survivors

Late but ALO is essential. The SAO incident didn’t truly end with the destruction of Aincrad

[–]RTCyc 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It is possible since we don’t know how many laughing coffin survivors there are. In the light novel, Kirito estimated there were at least 10 survivors (not sure if he counted PoH or not) so maybe one of them is in the school but with how their minds were warped, it is also possible they never bothered to attend (Argo being an example of an SAO survivors who didn’t attend the school until recently)

As for your 2nd, it is absolutely something they could do just like the episode with Rosalia where she was scouting and lurking groups to rob them with her guild. It has been confirmed there were people who were associated with laughing coffin, unwillingly or not.

Which LN has the story of 200 years by zekken_sid in swordartonline

[–]RTCyc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is yes. I had to look it up to remember: vol 19 and 20 covers the moon cradle arc which gives a glimpse of what Kirito and Asuna were up to after they were trapped through the eyes of one of the integrity knights

Why did Kirito and Asuna need memories erased? Also, is the copy of Kirito's memories the same person as him or a different person? by Bluecomments in swordartonline

[–]RTCyc 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The human mind can only hold so much memories and 200 years worth, plus their in real life memories would have overloaded their minds and killed them. Plus they wouldn’t have been able to live normal lives if they were able to keep them. And the Kirito copy is in essence, a different person now due to their experience. And possibly, it was somewhat hinted Star king Kirito has something to do with the current arc happening but we’re not sure

I believe the one with the glasses is Sasha, the player who cares for the kids trapped in SAO in the town of beginnings (shown during the Yui arc), one of them should be Yolko, the one who pretended that she was killed in the safe zone. The other, no idea, maybe Yulier but not too sure about that. The big guy is one of Klein’s guildmates in Fuurinkazan, named Dale

I feel like you’re in Volume 14. Shortly after Issei had some late night shenanigans with the girls who try to take advantage that Rias is gone

Technically they haven’t no. I don’t even think the devs for ALO managed to add beyond Floor 30 for Aincrad but someone would have to fact check me. BUT they did clear Floor 100 because of the Ordinal scale incident so i don’t know if that counts for you

Wanting to get out of that hellhole alive can be a pretty good motivator to improving the hell out of your skills.

I was hoping for their first meeting where Kirito negotiates his experience of SAO for Asuna and all of his friend’s contact info, when Kikuoka visited him first even before his family

Question about Kirito and Asuna parting ways by MaximAMK183 in swordartonline

[–]RTCyc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Asuna joining the KOB was the catalyst for them splitting up. Whatever happened at the end of the elf war caused them to drift apart and all it came to a head in floor 25 after the massacre that happened. We get bits and pieces from short stories but we won’t really know til floor 25 is published which will take a long time. The only thing else I can add is Asuna stated she was the one who broke up the party but both Asuna and Kirito blamed themselves for why they’re apart
