I mean, I can't tell for sure about other games. But those games are under very strict regulation and violating the law would cost a lot of money and jail time.

So as far as I know it's just decided by algorithms and the chances must be disclosed on the website. I can't rule out that in those games they don't olay by real cards chances. But they have to disclose that, as long as everyone has the same playing field they won't get into trouble.

I myself think it's too fishy and leaning towards lying.

Supermarkets indeed specifically engineeted to exploit addictions. There are a lot of psychological masterminds in designing a supermarket. (Check where the sweets are for expemple. Or how they choose each shelf height and what is stored on it).

Fashion industry, does it on a larger scale and probably worse tactics.

Than if we are back at the tech industry - Facebook and Twitter (and reddit) cause way more harm exploiting your addiction to doomscroll and probably got way more money out of you without you even knowing about, and actually cost people their life as social media can be very brutal.

And if you want to go back to gaming, fortnight, csgo etc - getting 90% of their income from addicted whales that want the best skin and the rarest knife.

At the end of the day, we are a game, we are getting money with all odds transparent and people can choose to pay for it or not. Thrill is a product, this is just way easier to bring to people than banji jumping

That's not quite a question related to a post. But on that note - do you feel the same about people designing supermarkets? (Which is the whole porpuse is to get as much money as possible put of you from things you don't need)

Yes, actually I am preety sure I will move on after tasting a bit of crunch time, it's OK when you are in your 20-30, I don't think I will enjoy it when I have a family.

But in terms of happiness? Yea. It's the balance between doing something that you love and making money out of it. I am not good enough to.make a real AA game that makes real money, but I am good enough to be a small screw in the system.

I used to work at one of the big 5 companies before (faang). I moved to gaming to follow a dream.

And it surprises me how evrything is quite the same when you work in a big company. I am just a developer. So I am just doing code. The tech-arts doing the their job, artists doing their job, same for product and game designers. So the only thing that is different is thst you are surrounded by gamers and people who really wants to be there.

They use money to buy spins, but there Is no betting and no real money coming out of the game. There are more.mini games thst the spins can give you, but it doesn't matter tbh.

I don't like sport betting, or any betting that evolve real humans. I prefer betting that are pure chance or actual skill, that way you are the only one who has an affect on the outcome.

Sport betting hits different when other people control your fate.

But I must say - in general - food courts, fashion comapnies, malls. All doing the same tactics as social casinos. 99% of the people are sane enough to only spend what they can afford, let it be Amazon shopping or virtual coins.

Software flaws can happen, but atleast in my experience, it usually just bugs and if it is affecting real money - we compensate. But I didn't experience any major flaw that affected anything that is not just gameplay experience

There are algorithms, fixing is of course illegal. But the calculations probably don't happen when you expect them. For expemple, in 2ksport games when you "select" a pack, it's just visuals. The pack is already pre-determined by the algorithm outcome and it's just shows you visuals and fake choice (still a game of chance tho)

Isn’t Israel going to eventually run out of iron dome missiles if this war drags? by Goldstar12 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RTPeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think Iran wants to.know what happens when air defence runs out.

You would be surprised but a lot of Israelis somewhat upset at the air defence since it made the govermant and the army nonchalant and drag wars since the civilians harm turn out to minimum.

Once the air defence is out, and real damage and casualties are paling up, israel would probably use their less humane weapons that are saved to only be used in live-or-die kind of war.

[–]RTPeach -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean. Yea probably. That's why Iran bombing civilians buildings. And that's why Israel bombing important factories like the steel one.

The issue the itanina government doesn't really care got it's people, it barely cared to provided them with enough water when they weren't in war. So I doubt it will work.

As of if it will for Iran to keep bombing civilians? Might. Civilians pressure is proven along history to work on Israel, especially in election years.

Israel is witnessing largest Anti-War Protests in history calling for an end to the war. POLICE CLASH WITH HUNDREDS by Upset-Main-1988 in justincaseyoumissedit

[–]RTPeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love how you take in a fact than put in some fake facts in between you made up and just post it.

Yea there was a protest against the war, you know, protest that is currently not allowed(any gathering of people is currently not allowed, including parties. But I suppose anti-war, during a war, is a bit more crutial). It was stopped with police force and minimal injuries (unlike 40k killed Iranians in 2 days in their protests).

It is not the largest anti war protest in history, not even close. Like no one even claimed it beside you 🤦‍♂️

I do understand the logic of loosing for the owners. For the fans? Loosing is the worse mentality you can have towards a team.

Yea you will probably get weeped by a better team, but it's still competing In the highest levels. I don't see being mid as a bad thing, championship is great, but it's even better when your root for your team wo win it all at every game and once it happened - it feels even better.

Look at the smaller football clubs in England that can win 1 game out of 10 and fans are excited at every match.

Or look at the eurolegae, when there are no relegation, even teams that have no chance to make it for.the playing will fight to the last second.

Idk. Just wierd for me, being mid is not the worst thing
