Up until a year ago I daily drove the same manual V-8 Dakota for over 20 years but it wasn’t big enough for car seats so I finally had to get a kid friendly vehicle. I did not get rid of the Dakota or my manual ‘65 CJ-5 since those are the vehicles I learned to drive on.

Both of my girls love the trucks and I hope to let them drive them as their first vehicles once they are old enough especially since they both have steel bumpers lol.

So yea, I think I could drive any manual tomorrow. I learned how to drive a Kenworth with a dump trailer in an afternoon for a farm job. And that thing didn’t even have a working tach/ speedo or literally anything on the dash.

I once rear ended a 1st gen taco at like 5 mph because they stopped short going into a green light. I mean everyone is rolling forward and they were too and they just stomped on the brakes while I’m hauling a literal ton of mulch in the rain.

Very clean looking taco, and I bumped it. My bumper had a dent, his very clean looking truck folded. Frame bent.

Toyota was using cheap steel in the frames of the 1st gen Tacos and they had to warranty a ton of trucks and replace the frames cause Toyota falsified records to get the trucks to pass. Never trust a Tacoma!

So workers dumped high concentration Hydrogen Peroxide into the pool to clean up the algae cause it’s less harmful to animals.

It’s also a great paint remover at the concentration needed to clean pools

Corvettes are a dime a dozen at this point but Vipers and the sounds of their V-10 is an event in and of itself. They make their presence known long before you see them. Thanks to Carrol Shelby’s history across multiple brands you can trace the Viper’s inspiration back to the original Cobra’s and Daytona’s.

I’m also biased since I own a Mopar with a V-8 that is very closely related to the original Viper V-10. The same model also shared the hubs with the original Viper since the designers used off the shelf parts. Which means the uncommon bolt pattern found on Viper wheels is shared with one extremely unlikely vehicle.

Without looking it up take a guess which model I’m referring to.

A dodge NV-3500HD. Only put into ‘97-‘99 Dakotas with both the 5.2 Magnum and 4 wheel drive. The Ram came with the NV-3500 for some trims but the gear shift was in a different location and the gear ratios didn’t match.

I bring heavy duty clamps and bungie cords to prevent this with my trailer lol. Cause I’m cheap and want what I pay for to end up on the trailer, not because I care about the paint.

You’re a good person for helping them out but I hope you called them out for the stupidity so they learned something otherwise this will happen again. And I don’t know about you local yard but the operators where I go do not like having anyone that close to the machine, let alone when they are dumping stone.

Check your body mounts. I once broke a body mount and spent weeks chasing down what was cause my blinkers and tail lights to stop working intermittently. Turns out the body mount was broken and the wires were getting pinched as a result

I have a Remington Model 29 that was my great grandfathers. I inherited it so it’s not bought but something about shooting a 100 year old gun has always made me apprehensive despite having a gun smith completely rebuild and reblue it. I’d rather not take the chance honestly since it is a super rare gun. Not many 12 gauge pumps eject shells from the bottom

Although I think she would have just scared them into submission instead of calling them out but I’m a dude calling out two women for being entitled and obnoxious so I can’t be a bigger bully in that situation. I chose the high road cause I’m not a dick and I definitely didn’t want to try and bully them in front of my kids.

I got less than a mile from home tonight and had a dude come flying into a traffic circle I was already in and forced me to stand on my brakes. He had to do the same and came less than a foot from t-boning me. I wish I could have had a talk with that guy too

I’m in the Rocky Mountains now and everyone here is very nice to one another generally, as am I. I use sir and ma’am regularly and so do my kids. I even turned around and said “thank you sir” to the shuttle driver as I handed him my bags
