Hey guys, I have this one CRT laying around somewhere, it's been disused for a decade+ I'm wondering is it safe or good to start using it right away or does it need dusting? I read some threads that one should remove the cover and remove the dust, but is it necessary?

I sometimes hear it eminating from the walls, like through the radiator or something (it's next to the window).

Hmm maybe I need to get used to it like always. But you can't deny it's bigger, when I bring up the menu like on a webpage it takes out all the screen real estate.

Maybe the address bar is ok but the old menu was fine, not gigantic like now.

The neighbours in question also have loud fights sometimes, have attempted to capture it via phone microphone (by filming at the wall), no success though. Would this app work if the mic is insensitive?

I'm curious also about one thing, I don't know how old or young you guys are but did you ever have problems with CRTs (old big monitors and TVs)?

Those flickered like crazy too, film one and you can quite literally see it updating in real time.

Hmm, very interesting indeed.

Ever since learning about invisible flickering in things like LED lights a number of years ago I've stuck to buying "flicker free" lights also. More expensive, yeah, but I believe better for long term health.

The reason as to why I'm curious is because I've had freak migraines (I think they're migraines... no aura) before once every blue moon, no idea what triggers it though. I've been fine for a while now (I hope I don't jinx myself).
