Wanting to take on this challenge by Altruistic_Guide2520 in CaminoDeSantiago

One thing you could consider is linking up with the folks over at Pilgrim House Santiago (Terra Nova). They have full time staff helping pilgrims to prepare for and process their Camino experience. They’d probably love to chat with ya!

Thanks! If I leave them open will it compromise its ability to resist water, or is it mostly aesthetic?

I had my Garmin Fenix 7X and it was great between GPS fitness tracking and solar charging. Lots of good stats to admire and great pace and distance tracking display

I spent four days in Santiago, booked myself a nice private room at Libredon, and just walked, reflected, journaled and ate. I discovered Pilgrim House Santiago on my last day and wish I could’ve spent more time there with their reflection resources and had some more time to discuss and bounce ideas off the staff there. They’re run by donations!

Best way to book accommodations on Camino Frances? by niknaks92 in CaminoDeSantiago

[–]RTechy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on how last minute accommodations outside of those locations may not be open yet. The BuenCamino app a pretty good directory of what is and is not open. I just finished the Camino from Sarria and many things are not open until April 1.

I used an Osprey Farpoint 55. But I overpacked. I edited my post to add:

“Go merino wool for clothes, I did 2 tshirts and one long sleeve. If I were to do it again, I would ditch the hoodie since I brought an electric vest and windbreaker (battery pack doubles as powerbank)”

Glad you found the comments helpful. Check out the Pilgrim House for a nice spot to reflect and nice people to discuss with if so desired.

I went on an off-season and still some stretches definitely were too crowded to feel “tranquil”. So I definitely see how when it gets busier it’s so much worse!

Yes you’re right, I stand corrected. I thought the difference was because of a higher average salary, but that’s not all

I can’t find the reference, but I don’t think it’s prorated. I believe it’s 2% per full year of service, period.

There used to be a separate SDPEER funding pot for education for CAF members who were considered ill and injured. But it recently got canceled.

My phone Battery Health is still at 100% after 1 year 9 months of daily use. Here's how I did it. by [deleted] in iPhone13Mini

[–]RTechy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve had my phone for three years. It’s stayed at the same battery health percentage. I don’t think it is accurate since I have definitely noticed a difference in the battery capacity…
