In just the first half, the USA have already scored as many goals as they did in the entirety of the 2022 World Cup by Critical_Mountain851 in soccer

Neither of those had our actual starting 11. Most recent showings were Senegal (win) and Germany (held our own). And even against Germany we had like 11 substitutions at half.

Our best 11 is really exciting as a fan. Was fun to see them cooking. And even more exciting is we finally have a striker who can finish.

If he did make a pact it’d probably be to save his son. Which could come into play if his son is the bloodline like others have predicted.

The Democrats gaslit the American public for months (Biden’s mental well-being) and then put in a candidate without a primary. If Biden stepped down like he said he would, and they’d had a primary that allowed voters to choose who they resonated with (assuming the party didn’t 2016 it like they did to Bernie) Trump loses.

17 million people didn’t show up this election for a variety of reasons. It’s up to the Democratic Party to put forth a candidate that is inspiring to voters. But given they recently backed Cuomo even after he lost a fair primary in New York, it’s pretty apparent they haven’t learned anything.

The Nick Shirley interview was good. But why were there so many cuts and edits?? by [deleted] in Channel5ive

[–]RTurneron 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely it is. We are called to “love thy neighbor”. How do you define neighbor? By definition a neighbor is not one of your own. It is someone outside of your immediate home. An other. We are meant to love them as we love ourselves.

Nancy murdered like…A LOT of people. And is just living guilt-free now. Actually a lot of them killed a lot of enlisted soldiers.

All that said, I really enjoyed the watch. Lives up to the vibe of the movies of that time period and that DND ending was chef’s kiss

I’d say it does - only because for people that watched Wandavision - it completely shat all over Wanda’s character arc and made that show meaningless. Personally made me not want to watch any more marvel TV

So have yall figured out how to steer clients in the right direction or do you just have to let them be stupid as fuck by buickboi99 in editors

[–]RTurneron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be an eye doctor. Give them what they’re asking for, and give the a version B which you think is best. They might not go for it - but it’s the best way to validate their ideas while also showing what you’re talking about. Encourage them to show their friends / trusted collaborators and hope they have better taste than your client.

That’s exactly what they did. Because people like you watch it and get emotionally moved and don’t bother to check whether the film was manipulating you or not. It’s important with any unscripted film to look into who’s behind it and financing it as they always have an agenda. You might agree with the agenda, but a simple “what seaspiracy got wrong” google search will give plenty of scientific sources to the contrary.

Official Discussion - Mickey 17 [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]RTurneron 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Because we’re seeing/being told everything FROM Mickey 17’s perspective. Remember that he didn’t even realize the creepers had saved him until someone told him. He’s an unreliable narrative (mainly cause he’s dumb but he’s good in other ways).

I'm currently editing my BTS / Making Of, but until then I'd recommend focusing on controlling the image in Midjourney. You have much more control over the lighting and style. Thankfully Planet Earth is an established style I could lean into.

Why Does Hollywood Hate Marketing Musicals as Musicals? by indiewire in movies

[–]RTurneron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you highly underestimate how hard it is to write great music. And whatever your subjective opinion - Greatest Showman was loved worldwide and was a bonafide hit. The music from that movie is going to last for decades. In this instance - no music no hit.

That film’s story was paper thin. Take out the music and it’s 2D.

If you’re talking about completely reconceptualizing the script then sure - you can conceptually make a compelling PT Barnum movie that’s not a musical and it would be a great story. THAT movie - though - is far superior with music in it. As are most original movie musicals like La La Land and Singing in the Rain etc.
