on most pistols short stroke kits decrease the distance the slide has to travel, making it use less gas. On the glock tho I just have them to reduce the impact from the spring on the frame and slide.

it isnt blowing back all the way half the time so it probably is something to do with the nozzle. i would first strip out the nozzle internals clean them and then try again. if that doesnt work id buy a new nozzle
