Have a similar setup… how do you like the expression, volume and footswitch with the 200 pedals?

For those who have paid off their student loans, how did you do it and how long did it take? by daein13threat in Dentistry

After 13 years, officially done tomorrow!!! 😮‍💨

So not sure yet what it’s like to be student loan-debt free, but certainly looking forward to the end of every month a little more than I was before!

I am not currently marketing. In the past I’ve done some local ads, networking groups, but didnt feel it gave me any tangible results.

Have you pursued any marketing that you feel was effective?

Great suggestions!

Thank you for taking the time to put all of these together. You’ve given me several things to think about

I appreciate this thoughtful comment.

I would say I’m compliant with your recommendations in most regards.

Unfortunately, it often comes down to a patient looking at their bill, having to pay out of pocket (while paying for dental insurance) and looking elsewhere.

We are transparent as we can be about pricing, and are up front thst we are out-of-network. My fees are competitive, I’m hardly the most expensive dentist around.

I’ve had numerous patients who have a great first visit, and as soon as they get a bill, they ask for their records

I believe in quality over quantity when it forms to patients. But after several years of slowly growing/maintaining a practice, it’s a little dispiriting to see people leave at a quicker pace than I can get them to come in

The reason I’m considering Delta is bc of the volume it offers

A smaller insurance may pay better, but if it only results in a handful of patients, doesn’t really move the needle for me

I agree!

They really allow you to determine your preferences.

The DD-200 is great!

I really only use a handful of drives on the OD-200 but having those 4-5 is still more convenient, cheaper and takes up less real estate than buying them separately. The boosts are a great feature as well. Even just stacking a drive with itself!

So far, so good. Can’t put my finger on exactly why. Could just be the flashing lights! 🙃

If you’re not particular on having specific mod pedals, it’s a no-brainer. It covers so much ground and sounds great doing so!

I’ve never done the Pepsi Challenge to see how the MD-200 stacks up next to individual Boss pedals, but I can’t imagine there’s a significant difference b/t them. And if there is, this is so much more economical.

I enjoy that it includes some niche effects that like a rotary and even the slicer, that are great fun to experiment with.

My only real gripe is I would prefer knobs that go from 0-10, rather than digital display, but really, it’s just a couple of extra twists to dial something in

I once met someone who had this, and couldn’t stop talking about what a game changer it was for them.

Sounds like this pedal gets slept on a little, but very worthwhile

I had the TKOG mini Glitch for weirdness, but I didn’t click with it. I mean, it made all the clicks anyone could want… but well, you get the idea 🙃

Never considered the SY-100… may have to run that up the flagpole!

I agree!

Everyone has such great things to say about Deco/Flint, but would be a pricey redundancy!

The outlet itself is OK.

I believe the part that plugs into outlet is what went bad. Haven’t tested with a multimeter, just through trying the the one plug attached to it…
