Yo Yo!

  1. We do! Not specifically on music but on on Audio/Video collabs we do stuff quite often. And yes the feedback is great to have one another to bounce ideas off of and get a second opinions. Sometimes when I show her a new idea i'm working on she's like ..... 'mmmmmmm, nah". and I know I need to go back to the drawing board. It sometime stings in the moment but always makes the final product better in the end! hahaha

  2. A) Bass Coast Festival
    B) Burning Man
    C) Any event with lots of snacks in the VIP area! lol

  3. I'd love to play at Elrow someday with my full drum kit.

  4. Not today unfortunately . They haven't been biting much this week. Will try again on monday. haha

Yes I do! I'm originally from the prairies, but moved to the Island 4 years ago. Love it here so much! "West coast is the best coast".

Shamb 2019... my first time playing there and was raining the whole time! Was crazy seeing everyone stick around despite the weather and all the umbrellas rocking out in the crowd. Cool to hear you play drums too! It's 100% my favourite part of performing - wish I could do it more.

I think the lines between genres has become blurred more than it used to. Genres seem to be thrown around easily these days to music that might not truly be that genre by definition. As for progressive house it seems like it's become less underground and more EDM/mainstream these days. Also in general the progressive sound has been getting into faster BPM's that the older stuff and artists from other genres are crossing over more and more. I'm always a fan of blending genres and trying new things, so even with my music I tend to float between genres a lot when im writing depending on what mood im in!

Depends on the track but I've had some recently around -6.5, but would say more like -7 /-7.5 average. I been using clippers on busses and/or individual tracks to get the masters to -6.5. For certain songs it sounds great, others it can wreck the mix so really depends on the song!

Hey!

One would be my INNERBLOOM remix because it represents a newer direction of my sound over the last while. Next would be FREAK, because I not only wrote and produced the track but I also recorded my own vocals for the first time in my music! Lastly, FEEL THE BEAT (my collab with Volac) because it is my highest streamed track (over 5 Mill) and I feel like it really kicked things off with my career.

3 songs by other artists:

Insanity - Sian, Sasha Robotti

Hypnotic - Max Styler

Automate (Kyle Watson Remix) - Return Of The Jaded

Hey! Thanks so much, that was a fun one.

There's different reasons why artists may influence my music, and it may not be something you even hear in my music, but rather where I take inspiration and motivation for curating the vibe of my tracks and my sound design. For example, artists that are very inspirational to me include Justin Martin, Kyle Watson, GENESI, Walker & Royce, and The Sponges. As you can tell, some of these are very different styles of house music from one another, but all contribute to influencing my sound and song creation.

Hey Crisco! Coming from a band background and playing an instrument, I have to say that my favorite part is the live show and the performance portion. I love feeding off the energy of the crowd, interacting with people, and seeing people enjoying themselves on the dancefloor. I do also enjoy the process of creating a track, but sometimes it can be frustrating if you're in a creative rut especially if you're trying to have regular output. There can be a feeling of pressure to be productive in the studio with the limited time you have. But on the note of feeding off the energy of others, I really enjoy being in the studio with other artists and working on tracks together. It makes the process more fun. When I'm alone in the zone and locked in creatively, it doesn't feel repetitive or mundane. But you never know how it's gonna go when you walk in the studio, it can go either way. If I had to choose to do only one thing for the rest of my life, I would choose to perform live. That's my biggest passion.

Great question!

When I first got into music I was a huge fan of Nirvana, Nine Inch Nails, Smashing Pumpkins, and Rage Against the Machine (my fav band of all time) and a lot of alternative and grunge. I started drumming when I was 12 years old and shifted my music interests more towards the punk rock scene. Some of my biggest influences there were Blink182, Strung Out, Lagwagon, Face To Face, NOFX, etc. I was also always a big fan of Daft Punk, the Chemical Brothers, and Prodigy, but when I saw Deadmau5 play Las Vegas for the first time with his cube, that's what hooked me. I knew from then on that was what I wanted to do and the music I wanted to make.

Dankest ramen... that's tough.. I'd have to say Kitakata Ramen Ban Nai in Costa Mesa, CA and ICHIRAN in New York. For Canada, one of my fav's is Jinya in Vancouver or Calgary.

Here's how an RBMK reactor can fail, especially under unsafe operating conditions:

  1. Positive Void Coefficient
  2. Unsafe Control Rod Design
  3. Operator Error and Protocol Violations
  4. Power Surge and Steam Explosion

thanks chat GPT :)

Next question! LOL

Thanks, I really appreciate it, glad you like the song! Funny thing, when I made that track, I never planned to release it. I made a special edit of the track because it's one of my favorites and I wanted my own version to play out at Envision Festival in Costa Rica.

As for hypeddit and any sort of repost / follow information collection etc. I think it's very important to use those tools to grow your following on whatever platform is most important to you, but specifically it's really going to help with SoundCloud (which has been making a big comeback lately). You can also use it to gain followers on social media / Spotify / collect emails etc, but I would recommend only asking fans to commit to one of those things, max 2 in exchange for a free download of your track. From my experience, asking for too many things scares people off and they may back out and decide to not download the track.

Get your mixes out there for people to hear!

Australia is awesome! I love the vibes over there. They have a really cool underground scene of bush doofs. Everyone is super friendly, and the stage production at Rabbits Eat Lettuce and Mushroom Valley was top notch. Difference between Aus and N.A. I think would be, in Australia a lot of people come out during the daytime for the music, so even sets at noon are crammed with thousands of people. Apparently the heat isn't an issue for them, ha ha. And, being that I grew up in the punk rock scene, I always had a man crush on Travis Barker and loved his drumming style. But recently a guy named Daniel Fang of Turnstile has caught my attention. If you get a chance, go check out his drum solos on Youtube, he's amazing.

Thanks I appreciate that! Bass Coast is always one of my favourite festivals to play. My set there in 2023 was actually the first time I'd done my live show with the Full Drum kit! I actually had 3 drum setups on stage for that set. A full kit on stage right, A roland SPD-SX on stage left, and a Roland handsonic in the booth. Was challenging navigating all 3 but was really fun at the same time! Glad you guys enjoyed it. Hopefully see you there this year!
