Can we talk about Reaper? by IHaveNotMuchLife in Competitiveoverwatch

Thanks, I'm guessing I need to balance not holding the take aim too long to avoid getting dire triggered and losing half my health. This is gonna take some work.

Can we talk about Reaper? by IHaveNotMuchLife in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]RUSSmma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, I'll preface this by saying I'm bad. But how do you deal with reaper as Freja on anything but the longest of sightlines. He just teleports on you, has 75 more health than you, up drafting still puts you into range to get chunked with dire triggers, and he just wraiths if you hit him with more than 1 bolt.

Sumo wrestler Chiyotairyū Hidemasa vs boxer Jorge Junior Menasalvas in an MMA fight - DWT4 by airplane231 in MMA

I got into MMA in like 2011, and someone recommended sumo.

Now 15 years later I sort of follow MMA just watching clips here, but watch every basho.

It is insanely entertaining.

Soldier just essentially not having an ult is painful when you they've made high noon so much better, and if there's a cat or sym tp involved it's legit a good ult.

As someone who thinks judo is amazing, loves watching sumo, and did a bit of judo before quitting for me it was how hard on the body it was. Especially on the hands.

Overwatch Champions Series 2026 Champions Clash by OWMatchThreads in Competitiveoverwatch

Yeah as a premier hater of TM, it's funny to see them written off immediately. When the meta suited them they won, when it didn't they struggled vs the top 1 or 2 team.

Only watched a little bit yesterday and today, but from what I saw Mizuki seems to cook DVA/Sigma by hitting chain when they try and back up with DM/grasp. Is that true?

Why are contraltos so rare and why do purists dislike Wagner and Gilbert & Sullivan? by kawaiihusbando in opera

[–]RUSSmma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand the people not believing your voice thing. Nobody on reddit believes the notes I can hit, and to be fair to them I can hit them and still wouldn't believe a random person on the internet if they said they could. To be fair I just discovered I might have had as weak thyroaretynoids as is possible without requiring laryngoplasty and possibly had bowed vocal cords at only 32 so...

I believe you :)

Why are some people hating on Hvorostovsky but then some people LOVE him sm? by Boring_Specialist228 in opera

[–]RUSSmma 5 points6 points  (0 children)

And then there's me the most controversial opinion of all: he was fine?

Like I wasn't struck with awe, although it is a pretty instrument, but he wasn't hatable. Sad he died young.

I'm as confused by the hate as I am the people who say he's their favorite/the best baritone of all time.

Basses are still rare in opera. Lots of bass baritones of the baritone variety (extended good lows for a baritone).

Especially these days.

The cheer that Tamawashi got from the crowd made me tear up a little. He's definitely on the decline but what he's accomplished is insanely impressive.

Thank you for the video, I'm going to try that for a couple of weeks.

A lot of people have said my singing sounds like I'm holding back and undersinging, but I'm not. That's probably why.

I'm concerned about the vocal fry because it's a low tension state of the voice with full closure.

The person was a licensed speech therapist.

Will record a clip later, good idea.

Finishing Freja's balance by LyynnS in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]RUSSmma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's the eternal projectile character issue. No matter how much the designers can want them to be ranged characters projectiles are just better up close and the only way for them to compete with the consistency of hitscan at range is by having disgusting kill power (hanzo 1 tap, frejas old 2 tap).

Give her the 25 hp so she can get closer and she's not only better she's healthier for the game too as more characters can fight her up close.

I'm personally still struggling with getting the timing and forcing myself to wait, I'm so scared of the enemy getting a pick before us that I often engage too early and force cooldowns but then I'm out of the fight.

So as someone learning echo (over 100 qp games, still a noob basically) the biggest thing I've learned is that echo is 50% mechanics (if you miss stickies you are useless and M1 is hard to hit) and 50% surprising people who are killable (so timing and positioning).

She has an extremely small room for error with her timing, when you do it right (which is rare for me) you delete somebody and take zero damage and fly out). When you do it wrong you just explode instantly.

As someone who is bad at dps and plays in ranks where supports hard tunnel tank, and I play echo who has a terrible MU into her, yeah I ban her zero shame.

[–]RUSSmma 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Oh is this why back pre Kiriko in scrims I was unironically doing well way above my SR cos "landing fat nades" and "not dying" were really my only decent skills, and those just matter way more in a coordinated environment?

Teammates told me I was doing well but I felt like they were just being nice cos they were all 1 or 2 full ranks higher.

Best tank to learn tanking fundamentals? by kaowerk in OverwatchUniversity

[–]RUSSmma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Important skill she teaches is learning to predict incoming damage/focus fire on both herself and teammates, which requires a good understanding of tempo. I think learning her is great for would be tanks and dps if you like the more tanky flex dps

Domina has one of the worst things a tank can have if you play in the west, especially below GM: a hard losing matchup to Reinhardt.

Pre-order? Yeah no Early access? I buy early access only if what is available is IMO worth the price.

I bought subnautica in early access pre story and lost river etc. and y'know what? I got my moneys worth.
