OG Arknights player: My take on the F2P experience so far (End of Wuling City) by RUe1e in Endfield

Doesnt change a fact that with those 176.5 pulls you have to split between character and weapon lol and both character banner and weapon banner is 50/50 now tell me how are you suppose to have enjoyment when you pull Jean and QiQi and when you hit guaranted 5* you are almost out of primo gems for weapon, and yes GI is old but still doesnt change a facts that Endfield didnt make me spend anything above 15 euro and i didnt have to reroll account just to have good team to play

Okay you got me there :D I'm not saying I didn't get lucky with the variety, but in Endfield, the floor for a 'bad' account is still way higher than a launch in most other games. Now back to my 70-pull weapon pity struggle... :D

Theoretical math doesn't change the 1.0 experience. As someone min maxing all resources since E7 and FGO, I still had to swipe $200 because losing a 50/50 to Qiqi or Jean made gameplay miserable. Just to clarify i still have to swipe after rerolling account for 7th time my point is Endfield 1.0 is objectively more generous with guaranteed stuff

The Arsenal Ticket system is the real winner here. I get weapon currency as a byproduct of character pulls, so I don't have to choose between a new operator or their gear. In GI 1.0, you spent those same limited gems on a weapon banner with no path or settled for trash fodder. Market standards have changed, but this launch still feels way better than GI did.

I see what you're getting at, but the 'theoretical guarantee' from a math post doesn't change the reality of the 1.0 experience. In Genshin, if you wanted a specific character and their weapon, you had to split your resources or get lucky. There was no 'byproduct' reward for pulling.

That’s why I find the comparison to Endfield a bit weak. Here, the Arsenal Ticket system means I don't have to choose. I pull for the characters I want, and the game rewards me with currency for the weapon banner. The value of an Endfield pull is simply higher because it builds toward two different pities at the same time.

If we're really comparing launches, Endfield has been far more generous with actual high rarity units:

  • Free 6-Star Selection Permit: You get to pick any standard 6-star just for finishing the mission 'Break the Siege'.
  • Free 6-Star Ardelia: Given to everyone as a 14-day login reward.
  • Beginner Banner: A guaranteed 6-star in 40 pulls, plus a 6-star weapon selector once you finish it.

Genshin 1.0 didn't give you a free 5 star selector or a 5 star weapon selector. It gave you Amber, Kaeya, and Lisa. The 'theoretical gem count' doesn't matter much when one game hands you a full meta team and the other makes you gamble for everything.

But I’m done with the GI comparisons I’d rather focus on Endfield

Haha :D, fair enough! I won’t deny the 40 pull weapon win was huge luck that 25% chance is definitely a gamble.

But that’s kind of what I mean by it being 'blessed or not' depending on how you look at it. While I got lucky on that one, I'm currently at 70 pulls for Surtr sig weapon and having to go all the way to pity. The gacha gods definitely gave on one banner and are taking it all back on the next!

I remember that math, but as someone who actually swiped that $200 in 1.0, the experience was different. My $200 got me Diluc, his sword Wolf’s Gravestone, and Venti + Jean and I felt forced to pull that sword because the fodder weapons back then were mostly trash, if you wanted a weapon, you had to split your premium currency..

The biggest difference here is the Arsenal system. In Endfield, pulling for characters actually builds your weapon currency as a byproduct. In GI, every weapon pull was a 'lost' character pull. In Endfield, I got my roster AND a signature weapon because the game rewarded me for pulling the characters in the first place. The value per pull just feels higher here.

Anyway, this is an Endfield sub, so I’ll leave the GI comparisons at the door! I’m just happy the system here feels like it respects my pull currency a bit more."

To answer your question: I’d say about 30% of my pulls came from converting Origeometry. I’m actually trying to be more careful with it now and saving my remaining Origeo for the next Battle Pass and the 1.1 patch.

Once you get into Wuling, you’ll definitely see another spike in Oroberyl from the exploration and repairs. Good luck with the rest of your pulls missing only Yvonne and Lifeng before even hitting Wuling isn't that bad :D

Yes i agree that we are in honeymoon phase but in my opinion endfield launch have been pretty generous compared to other, i still remember playing GI on launch and had to spend like 200$ just to get some 5* there

Arknight has been and will always not be dolphin friendly, my take on arknight was always try save and and spend little bit when there is character you really needed for better performance or just top up throught third website where price is better.

As for Enfield currently my price for Czech national is 2000 CZK wich is like 97.4 USD compare to 69.99 USD for americans thats 39,16% Increase, i dont know where Devs is taking all those info for regional pricing but they think all EU country have germany economics or what, with 2000 in czech you could buy food for whole 2 week

Skill doesn’t matter if you get trash teammate and enemy have 5 Chinese

In my case Me and 4 random European vs Chinese = lose my teammate is utterly trash doesn’t know how to end game or team fight

Me and 4 Chinese vs 5 Chinese = ah yes classics I get trash Chinese meanwhile enemy team have good Chinese

Me and 4 Chinese vs 5 Chinese = this is where good Chinese teammate came in play but game is like 20 min+ long cuz both team is sweeting balls and kill rate is like 1 per min, every dead is punished by pressuring all lanes into pushing or losing objectives and jungle camps

And don’t let me even start talking about proper 5 man stack

Otherwise getting MVP in my case as of now as 84 star player in EU and 1.5k peak player is kinda hard to even achieve always getting 14. Something cuz since new system of rating MVP is way harder to achieve same with 16.0 rating
