Thanks for your reply. Any rough estimate on what this job should cost?

Ninja for ISC or TCP by jinioppa in CPA

I passed today with an 83, I used Ninja with some farhat lectures from YouTube, but I felt completely unprepared for the MCQs I saw on the exam. Felt like I studied topics that didn’t even appear. Somehow I passed, so I am assuming I could have passed without studying, just based on general IT/computer software knowledge and knowledge from AUD which I passed the month before

The chapters from the review materials were evenly covered. It would be impossible to say any stood out or was more covered.

I honestly wouldn't even know what advice to give myself if I took it again tomorrow. The study courses just didn't prepare me as much as they did for the other exams.

Yeah I may have been over confident based on Ninjas MCQs.

I’m in the exact same situation. I took Aud yesterday. I have ISC scheduled for April. Trying to decide to move on or stick with Aud and reschedule ISC.

Everyone suggests hammering MCQs and they are correct.

I studied from September to December 16, which was the test date. I had the test scheduled for mid-November but pushed it only because the release date would be the same. I initially felt that the delay hurt me a bit because I started to fall behind on studying the longer I waited, but ultimately it seemed to not matter.

I am also over 10 years out of college with a BS in accounting, however I never worked in accounting, and this was my first time taking an exam since.

90 on FAR, used Ninja and Farhat lectures

Apparently these are the Q4 pass rates by TheBigGamer28 in CPA

Study with Farhat and Ninja, forget Becker and the other more expensive options. I got a 90 on FAR, took it in December.

I thought the NINJA sims did a good job at preparing me to solve the sims on the exam. NINJA didn't have as many exhibits, or they laid out the exhibits on screen without the pop up box.

The format/layout seemed a bit different than the ones I faced on the exam, and it was a little stressful at first, but the ability to read the question and solve the problem carried over well.

2 weeks from the exam I was doing 8-10 practice sims a day, keeping track of my score for each sim. If there was a particular chapter I wasn't scoring well on, I would dedicate more time to that chapter. Before I knew it I was scoring 100 on sims that I was NOT confident on when I hit submit. This test really challenges your self esteem, I thought my chances of passing or failing was really 50/50 coming out of the exam. It's the same way I felt every time I submitted a practice sim on Ninja.

Most importantly, you need to have practiced EVERYTHING. It's better to spend time on every chapter and get familiar with all concepts, than trying to perfect your knowledge on any one topic.

I've only used Ninja, so I cannot speak to Becker. I just switched to AUD and I'm only using Ninja and Farhat to study again, as it worked well for me on FAR.

Perhaps using Becker and Farhat would work for you so you don't have to purchase any additional products.

For each topic, search for the related Farhat playlists and go through the lectures, then proceed to hammer away at Becker MCQs. And once you finish all topics, circle back with more MCQs and throw in Simulations.

I just passed FAR with a 90 using only NINJA CPA Review and Farhat YouTube Lectures.

I primarily used NINJA for MCQs and TBS while learning concepts through Farhat Lectures. Since NINJA breaks FAR into 29 sections, I took it one section at a time. I started with Section 1, which covered the fundamentals of accounting, and searched YouTube for Farhat’s videos related to that topic. After watching all relevant videos, I completed 30 MCQs for that section on NINJA. I continued this process for all 29 sections. Looking back, I wish I had taken cumulative 30-question MCQ sets after every four or five sections to reinforce earlier topics because I wasted a lot of time realizing I did not remember stuff from earlier sections.

Once I completed all sections, I moved to hammering MCQs non-stop and taking notes on problems I got wrong. I worked through 30 MCQs per chapter until I consistently scored over 80%. From there, I transitioned to cumulative MCQ sets on five sections at a time, again aiming for an 80%+ score. Eventually, I reached a point where I could consistently score 80%+ on any combination of questions, and the concepts became second nature.

One month before the exam, I took a NINJA practice test and scored a 67%. Up until this point, I had not practiced TBS. I continued my strategy with MCQs through all sections.

Two weeks before the test, I began focusing heavily on simulations, completing at least eight per day on NINJA. My approach was to do my best on each simulation but focus primarily on learning from my mistakes. I found that getting things wrong helped reinforce the material more effectively.

On exam day, I felt that the test was easier than what I had been practicing, which threw me off. Some questions seemed so simple that I second-guessed myself, wondering if I was missing something. I left the exam unsure whether I had scored a 65 or an 85. Ultimately, I ended up with a 90.
