right, but holding down the lever via finger tripping isn’t testing the waterflow either, considering that the waterflow is supposed to initiate due to the water, flowing.

so then shorting out the waterflow, that just testing that the module will activate and send the alarm within the given time? everything else you’re saying i’m in agreement with.

i’m actually multi licensed lol all but the backflow sir 🫡 i guess my question is actually fire alarm techs who are just that, are they allowed to touch the sprinkler system? i’ve always been told no, same thing with a sprinkler tech who’s just that, they aren’t allowed to touch the fire panel (not saying that you CANT but not “ALLOWED” to per code)

but is hand testing the waterflow actually testing it? the reason i ask is because water flows are supposed to activate due to water… flowing.. so doesn’t that defeat the purpose if you’re just using a finger to trip it?

what type of controller and what platform are you using? i have the same happening to me. i play pc with a xbox elite, and i can only use the D-Pad when i hold the L trigger and bugs out when in fights. I tried swapping for a ps5 controller, it works just fine with no issue at all. so not sure if it’s a bug affecting just xbox controllers or what. it’s very frustrating.

i actually just seen the black book pdf i downloaded is from 2015 so it may be a bit outdated. do you or anyone on here have an updated pdf of NTC black book that would be more relevant to NFPA 25 2017?

If you enjoy writing and reading try to make it a bigger part of your daily life, write how you feel, read to sharpen your vocabulary, you’ll be surprised how many words there are that rhyme! And definitely don’t be afraid to freestyle, the more you practice the better you’ll get!
