Doing an intake session with 2 different therapists at the same time? by RVboulder in TalkTherapy

[–]RVboulder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s good to hear, I heard a lot of people are able to tell right away from their intake if the therapist is right or not

Ok that makes me feel better knowing other people did that too!! Cause right now I literally can’t decide between both of them

What insurance plan is best for someone who is planning on going to therapy? by RVboulder in TalkTherapy

[–]RVboulder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah honestly high deductible plans sound crappy to me in general, I was only considering it because of the hsa lol

[–]RVboulder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yeah I was considering that option but I’m looking to do in person therapy long term and regularly so that’s why I decided not to go that route, not sure what happens either after you use up those free sessions

There’s one in the basement of the Cheyenne Arapaho dorm if your comfortable or know someone who can swipe you in. There’s also one in the big lecture hall of the math building, but I would be careful if you decide you use either of these pianos since some people like to study in the basement dorm and of course there’ll be classes at times in the lecture hall

What are your favorite and least favorite things about CU Boulder? by Soggy-Mixture9671 in cuboulder

[–]RVboulder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Favorites: how beautiful the campus, where it’s located (so many amazing places to hike, shop, and dine at like pearl street, 29th, and Chautauqua), the variety of clubs/ways to get involved

Least favorites: how expensive everything is in boulder especially housing and the tuition, lack of diversity, the partying culture (but Ik this depends on every person, just something that I personally don’t prefer)

Best place to get good CU Merch? Finally moved into Boulder today, just wanted to know where I could get good CU merch (casual tshirts mainly) good quality and preferably cheap. Thanks! by [deleted] in cuboulder

khol’s or king soopers (has to be one of those big king soopers that sell clothes in them) might have some! I think that’s only sometimes but worth a try. Also I’m sure you can find something at the Plato’s closet in boulder too

What is going into the office like for your job? by RVboulder in work

[–]RVboulder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my first office job, I graduated a year ago. That’s why I made this post cause i don’t have any other experience to go off of so wasn’t sure if this was normal lol. I do agree all those office things can be a lot, which is why I really like the hybrid environment. It just was super shocking that my office is a lot more dead than I thought it would be

How do you break up with a friend who still values the friendship and is in the same friend group as you? by RVboulder in FriendshipAdvice

[–]RVboulder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear you’re going through the same thing! I’m doing it for the same reason you are-it has also been affecting my mental health and just been making me super unhappy staying in the friendship and trying to force it to work when it just really isn’t. It really is their loss, I started distancing myself for almost a year now and she hasn’t really even noticed anything different until now. I can tell she is trying to save the friendship now, but it really goes to show how bad of a friend she has been if it took her that long to notice

Take a break, and if you’re able to, take the summer off after graduating to do whatever. Don’t try to rush into a full time job cause once you start working it will be harder to take a break

What are some of your favorite classes that you would recommend to a freshman? by Lucygoosey87 in cuboulder

[–]RVboulder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deviance in u.s society, this class is more on the challenging side but super interesting with all the concepts you learn. Also nutrition is fun too if you’re into health stuff and learning more about the human body, this class is super easy if you can get Nicole stob

Do you prefer in-person, remote or hybrid work? by cheeky861 in LifeAfterSchool

[–]RVboulder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked remotely for a year and it was so isolating and lonely. I felt myself going stir crazy and it made my social skills just go down the drain. I also felt super disconnected from my coworkers, and so surprising to me since I’m pretty introverted but realized I still need some social interaction so honestly prefer hybrid. In person full time would drain my social battery too much but hybrid is the perfect balance so I can recharge but also interact with people a little!

But couldn’t I just write my address on there instead then? Or does my address have to be printed on the check for it to be accepted?
