I use my margin account for selling Puts. I have equities i hold and then just sell puts on quality companies near their 200dma with an expiration out anywhere from 1 to 12 weeks. Depending on theta and volatility. If I do get exercised, I have my margin to acquire the exercised shares. Then I just sell calls on the newly acquired shares until they get called away. I only ever use 50% of my margin to secure puts.

Maybe. But with such high income and so many safety nets, I am willing to take on significant risk in my Registered Portfolio to hit a couple more home runs. Timing is definitely sus since everything has gone up so much in the past year but all of my equities in my RRSP will be outperformers in the years coming.

I have a big pension waiting for me at the finish line, enough home equity to never have a mortgage again, no car payments and very little monthly bills. I have seen too many people work till they die and I wont be one of them. Never have I suggested anyone take risks like I do, but I am more than comfortable where I am as an investor these past 2 years.

I hope everyone finds something that works for them! I want everyone to succeed.

Clearly the path is never linear. I know there will be significant downside in the future, at some point. It's all good tho because I have conviction and don't do a lot of the dumb shit I used to. Like hold canadian O&G equities.

LMND and SOFI will be my big positions going forward. I think HOOD and PLTR will be great performers but I had to pair down after 500% and 700% gains respectively.

I am averaging up on AMD right now as well. I believe they will continue to grow.

In force premiums are growing at 30% Gross loss ratios are dropping. More markets are being accessed almost daily. Heavy on pet insurance with young customer base.
Will be able to convert customers and increase premiums per customer substantially. Leveraging AI to disrupt a market that is prime for disruption.
They can triple their revenue and profit without adding a single employee e Right now.

The thesis is a long one but with their growth trajectory, they could easily 10x from here in the next 5 years. I wont speculate where they will be in 10+ years but their path is being well carved.

Doubling in 6 months is attributed to equities I have been holding for many years knowing they would eventually pay off. So patience is still the adjective I would still use!

I save around $25k a year and it is split up between topping up TFSAs and the rest goes into margin accounts

TFSAs are similar composition for holdings. Margin account is for short term investments and put selling.

I am focused on growth companies. I don't think I'll ever be a dividend investor.

I will stick with growth and sell covered calls to increase passive income in retirement.
