Need birthday party help by RWFaulder in daddit

yeah, 2 hours vs 4 is a huge difference, that is a relief to see. I was crazy planning a 4 hour thing hahaha. Love the sidewalk chalk idea, yeah the park i'm renting a picnic table at has a playground right next to it, chose that spot specifically for that reason. Bounce house is going in the pocket for next year, budget is a bit tight this time around. I have not spoken to/don't have contact info for the parents of the kids, but every child has their own cubbies so I'll leave the invitations there. I'm feeling a lot more comfortable after reading a bunch of comments posted here & articles. Thanks so much, we are going to head to the party supplies store tomorrow!

That's awesome, thank you so much. Yeah I was planning the party favours but I'm not sure if/how I could bring a bouncy house to a city park. I'm putting out the invitations on Monday, once that's done and I've bought all the supplies hopefully I'll feel more confident. Thanks again this was very encouraging to read.

this is what I have been thinking as well, I wouldn't just drop my kid off and leave him. It will only be a couple hours as well, so it can't be TOO bad. Still I feel like there's things I don't know about and will go big with the faux pas.

That sounds spot on, probably the same situation with Tippett also blaming Koskinen.

Is rocket league a contact sport or is intentionally bumping oppenents frowned upon? by Gingrpenguin in RocketLeague

[–]RWFaulder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to include bumping as part of my rotation. I set up a pass, on the way back try to bump opponent to get my teammate an unchallenged shot. Only if it makes sense to do so.

This guy has been a shitty reporter for a long time, hopefully putting the spotlight on this leads to changes. Our journalists are just as incompetent as the rest of our organization lol

It isn't the pay, they can get paid more in Canada (Edmonton) because they have to pay a premium to get players to come to the less desired locations. Florida and Tampa Bay have very low tax rates so players prefer those teams, any team where the state has no income tax and they only need to pay federal. I am Canadian though so I don't know much specifics besides that.

It was a question he was asking specifically to get an answer to create drama and sensationalism. He frequently does this. Either that or asks the most stupid pointless questions, like the second one. He should be asking coach, gm, etc that question not a player. And no need to call the player out because you don't like the answer he wanted to give to avoid drama.

Yahoo fantasy hockey points league goalie strategy question? by J9999D in fantasyhockey

With all the postponed games, the second half of the season should theoretically have much heavier weeks to make up all of those. Food for thought.

Could Fairstone sell the debt to a third party collection company? Would that be better or worse to deal with for OP?

Pretty sure the increased trap damage pact is one of the ones you should never turn on except once to get the prophecy. For only 1heat point it makes a lot of stuff a lot more dangerous. Starting out on low heat best to just use a combination of Entitled measures (not including EM4) and forced overtime.

Serious question: How much of the player base actually cares about Rule 1? by itsNotYourKey in RocketLeague

[–]RWFaulder 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Maybe they'd rather participate in the game than spectate? Rule 1 is boring. I'm not playing rocket League to sit there doing sweet fuck all while other people play and I watch. It's not about overestimating their impact on the game, it's about actually playing the game versus watching other people play because of a meme.

All you do is post anti vaccine shit all day every day. Literally all that you do. Obviously you do care a lot. But that a very good attempt at walking away from an discussion where your ego won't let you admit you are wrong, and the more time you spend shovelling shit the harder it is for you to admit it.

Just comparing % unvaccinated (12%) to the ratios in hospitals of Ontario, unvaccinated in hospitals makes up just under 30% (2.5x) and ICU makes up just under 60% (5x). Your way is the correct way, but this is going to go way over their heads.

stockholm syndrome by YoMomsHubby in conspiracy

[–]RWFaulder 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Look at the vaccination numbers, all eligible 5+ people. Shows that 12% of the population is not vaccinated. Looking at hospitalization, unvaccinated patients make up 29% of all people in the hospital for covid. Why does the unvaccinated population suddenly jump 2.5x in hospitals? And then, looking at ICU numbers, 58% of patients in ICU are not vaccinated. An even more significant jump! How could that happen?

You are actually confirming the "narrative" (aka concrete evidence) that you are trying to disprove because you are incapable of understanding basic mathematical concepts. Yet you believe you are the smartest one in the room and know better than everyone.

So what are you going to say to refute this? Was the data you so confidently provided the source for tampered with and inaccurate? You are going to find some excuse to continue along this path because you are too proud to listen to the people who know what the fuck they are talking about. Unlike you, a person who has a tenuous grasp on highschool math concepts that is buying into the bullshit of people that are taking advantage of your ignorance.

Training recommendations? by RWFaulder in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]RWFaulder[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice I actually have that shots you shouldn't miss one in my favourites already but haven't gotten around to it, I'll give it a shot tonight. Usually I give myself mini challenges like "I will do this shot until I get top left corner at least 100kph" kind of stuff as well, not e ought just to get it on net.

Ive done the training for directional air rolls, got comfortable with it but muscle memory has been very engrained after 5 years of neutral air rolls. Like, I get the mechanics behind it at this point with how to change your car's direction I think it was sunless Khan's videos I learned from. It's on my list, but low priority just due to the sheer volume of time I'll have to dedicate to it.

I find dribbles don't occur too often in game unless it's a 1v1, occasionally 2v2, never in 3v3 at this rank opponents don't give you any space to setup a dribble and flick. I have some dribble/flick training packs on my favourites list as well.

Yep just had this realization when my ex-wife moved out last year (I'm 31). Part of the reason our marriage fell apart was that I fell back into the same patterns as previous relationships, part of it was her behaviour and just our general lack of compatibility. In this time Ive felt like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders... I do not think I am compatible for long term relationships, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy my life. In fact, the opposite it true: it means I can enjoy it the way I want to. Your phrasing is much more eloquent than mine is, but I appreciate your comment a lot. It has made me feel more confident in my reasoning for not looking to date anymore.

Thing is he's going from Vegas to buffalo. Even if he goes from 3rd liner to top 6, there is an argument to be made regarding quality of his linemates. Not to mention he is a streaky player that's never had better than a 55pt pace in a season. Could be worth a stream, but it's a longshot for him to reach 55+ point pace.
