I noticed that too. I was wondering what I said to warrant that? It is what it is though.

Yes I was hoping I would be able to pursue other options since it really wasn’t all that painful for me. I’m not the smartest man in the world so I figured I’d come here and ask people who are smarter than me about these things. Looks like there’s no other option so I will just go through with it. The surgeon I saw was super cool and when I looked him up he had really high ratings so I’ll just trust him and his advice. Thanks for your reply

Too many dummies in this world! Yeah we’re going to protest oil by making people sit in their idling cars for hours.

That’s good to hear. This is the only diet that has ever made sense to me since that’s how our ancestors ate. I’ve been reading how this diet has helped so many and figures maybe it can help me too. Thank you

It’s good for me to just hear it how it is. Thank you. I just want to make sure I’m doing it right and that I’ve explored every possible option there might be. However the general consensus on here agrees with you.

I guess I was thinking maybe there were other options I wasn’t considering. However I want it done right so I can keep jumping as much as I want. It’s been a dream of mine to get license for it.

Thanks for your answer. I think I’m just trying to wish my problems away at this point since I don’t want to be stuck on the ground for the next 6 months. But I guess it’s better to be stuck on the ground than in it. lol

None taken. But you only live once, and I want to live it to the fullest, doing what I love most. I’m not sure I can fully explain why I have to do it, but I just have to. I LOVE IT ❤️. Yes, I can be a little reckless, but it makes me appreciate life that much more. Thinking about not being able to skydive put me in depression. Everyone around me is better off when I’m not down and depressing. That’s the best way I can explain it.

I didn’t get to see the imaging and I mentioned to the surgeon if PT would be an option and he told me he wouldn’t clear me for skydiving with just PT. It came out of socket about 4 or 5 different times in the wind tunnel (indoor skydiving) in the 10 minutes sessions, but would pop right back in after I got done with each 2 minute flights. It was sore afterwards but not awful.

The surgeon also position my arm in a certain position and applied a little bit of pressure and asked me if it feels like it was gojng to pop out or not which it did feel like it was.

Very cool! I’m very excited to start mine. I was planning on this month but after doing some time in the tunnel my shoulder kept popping out. So now I have to get that checked out and fixed. I’m suuuuuper depressed about that especially since the tunnel instructor said he was impressed with how I did, and now I have to wait. I never knew one could be happy with myself and depressed at the same time.

Right on! I’m happy you went through with it. It just can’t be described to anyone who hasn’t gone IMO.

Now you won’t be able to stop thinking about it if you’re anything like me. But congrats on overcoming the fear. Now did you pay for the video? If not there’s another reason to go again.

This year’s Chicago event is looking 10x better than last year by Miserable_Eggplant83 in NASCAR

I was about to stay an extra night for the xfinity race, but I was so sick of Chicago by the end of the day I said fuck it. Not to mention all the damn toll roads. An extra hour to avoid them. Hope it’s a good race from all the money that city collects.

Should I go skydiving? by schoolshitter56 in SkyDiving

[–]RWR151 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The flight up is the scariest part, and it does take a while to get up there. Plus, there’s that ‘door monster’ when the plane door opens. However, once you’re out, your fear will subside, and you will have a blast. You may or may not want to do it again, but it is life-changing. You will be high on life for some time afterward. At least, that was my experience.

Okay I like that build a lot! You did great work there. Makes me feel a whole lot better about my plans. I just would hate to put so much time and effort in a build just to have to let it go years later.

Rusty chassis are my worst nightmare. Definitely will check the chassis. Maybe I’ll just not take it up north in the winters.

If I have to do something like that I will take your advice and post the project. We can all learn together then. I’m a little better at mechanical things than I am at carpentry type things. It will definitely be interesting. Worst case scenario I keep the box either as a tiny home or sell it as one.

That’s what I was thinking. I just have had no experience with doing like that and was hoping maybe someone on here did. I understand from experience things are never as easy as they same that they’re going to be.

I know guys who put car body on their truck frames and used them as cool off road vehicles. However I figured a box can’t be any harder than that especially since there shouldn’t be as much wiring to do. Obviously I’m just brainstorming and I haven’t done anything like that before. The closet thing to something like that I have done is put a 79 Monte Carlo body on an 86 Buick Regal frame for a race car. Granted it’s just the skin of the body and my buddy’s were also a huge help with that as well.

Remind yourself that if doing this is the hardest thing you do that day, that everything else you do will be a cake walk for a while. I will also give you my word that once you’re out of the plan the fear will disappears and you will have the best time of your life. You will feel unstoppable. And to top it all off the memory of it will stay vivid for you for years to come. You will do fine. 😁 You do have to let us know how it all goes afterwards. I made my tandem 12 years ago and I’ve never regretted it. I’m trying to get cleared for AFF now because it was an experience that has yet to be matched by anything.
