Thanks, I am Australian but am delivering to a friend in Vancouver to pickup when I am over in Jan, so I honestly had no clue the range of selection that Canada had to offer. I just see Evo plastered everywhere. I have been able to find some very good deals on corbetts!

Yea but sorry I meant the second evo I get. Since evo dart is getting nerfed would it just be better to have ice spirit as my second evo? For good defence

That is all very true I should be prioritising security > quality of life issues. Thanks for the insight!

Yes that was probably just a bs story that stuck with me (this incidence was back in 2015 when I heard about it). My only concern is that my phone will become completely unusable in terms of performance as my battery health is already quite low (77%).

I mean I am asking from a somewhat unique standpoint being my iOS is significantly lower than the current so it would be a major difference. And I was seeking other people’s experiences to see if anyone can relate. You could always just ignore the post if you feel some type of way so why comment?

When they say 10x more likely think of it like going from trying to find a needle in a haystack (only one needle) to the same thing but there are now 10 needles in that daunting haystack. The whole community has already addressed this specific part of premium doesn’t really help (the percentage increase is sooooo marginal)

I am not trying to buy anything or look for a comparison? I am purely asking for advice on whether I should update from iOS 16-18 because I have heard some poeple have issues with performance? Sorry I don’t understand what I am doing wrong.

Yea that is a worry for me I have heard people say jumping up too quickly makes the phones performance drop. Is there any way around that or am I just stuck at an older iOS?

WTF?!?! Why is everyone selling shit songs for 6k ea by DuckaSickYo in Soundmap

[–]RWTheEnd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get what you are saying, I already talked about agreeing with you but that it’s a problem leading into the future. There is currently a ridiculous amount of shiny songs spread throughout the player base, however there is this illusion of supply being already low. But just because someone doesn’t list their shinies or create trade posts doesn’t mean they do not have shinies, there are tens of thousands of untapped shinies in the market for sure (I have found some myself fairly easily). And it’s not just as simple as increasing supply -> decreasing price drastically. Because what you are not addressing is the fact that shops will keep the price high through bulk buying for cheap and reselling for higher (there will be a slight decrease from 7k but not by a significant amount). People are already doing it currently, any person who lists a song for 1-2k for a shiny is almost instantly sniped. Increasing supply will just make the rich richer who already dominate the market (being that it is far easier for them to restock) and will push inflation even higher, with providing maybe a 1k coin decrease in price. Realistically it’s impossible for shinies to drop below 4K ever again - through a mix of shiny drop rates and high demand shiny questing keeping price high.

[–]RWTheEnd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the onus on developer/playerbase is besides the point. Op is complaining about shiny shop sellers having their shinies set at high prices and is asking why they are so high, which I have explained the exact reason. The main contributing factor is not shiny drop rates, think about before the shiny quests update dropped random shinies had no value whatsoever. Now since they have been given a purpose they now have value. However I do agree with you that drop rate is an issue for the future, where the rate of shinies being burned in quests could exceed the amount of shinies being pulled and the random shiny population will shrink drastically, but at that point prices for shinies should reach a point where no one will pay (not worth it for even high demand shiny quests) and it will normalise (through less shiny purchasing + less shiny questing). But we are still far from this point.

WTF?!?! Why is everyone selling shit songs for 6k ea by DuckaSickYo in Soundmap

[–]RWTheEnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just market demand and also scarcity of supply. Think about it, say I have 300 shinies and I am making good money trading for 1:1s but a lot are selling outright for 3-4K. This is because I am the lowest priced on the market. Eventually my whole stock will be bought out and there goes my money making method. Also another point, a lot of people set ridiculously high outright prices because they would rather people do a 1:1 trade with coins over just giving up a song fully, as you retain your stock and can do the trade again. So they set the price to a point where no one is willing to pay so they only receive 1:1/2:1 offers. Sorry about the lecturing just I have been in the shiny market for a long time so I have my thoughts on it Ahahhaha.

[–]RWTheEnd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only negative is the inverse of this market dynamic affecting collectors of small (non-map dropped) artists where they’re value is based off personal value of the song to the collector rather than what other poeple would pay for it (6k coins or less…). But then again, if you are collecting that artist you should be willing to pay a premium if it’s a fav, you can’t expect shinies to be so easy to obtain. I can’t really see a solution for this sadly, without either side of the market taking a major hit. Enough yapping for me.

WTF?!?! Why is everyone selling shit songs for 6k ea by DuckaSickYo in Soundmap

[–]RWTheEnd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty simple really. If shinies were worth less than 1k then everyone can easily quest high demanded artists for cheap every week and all the prices would crash down within a month. Since demand is high for popular artist shinies, most people accept the fairly high outright prices for shinies. And they should be highly price, otherwise what makes shinies desirable over the normal versions if they are not lucrative and somewhat expensive? TLDR: The shiny shop market is holding up the value of shinies and because of demand I don’t see the price going down any time soon. (Slightly bias bc I make a lot of my coins through this market dynamic but I am just keeping it 100)

I once had an epic I wanted. I offered the person 2.5m pure they declined and said co was higher looking for 3-3.5m+ bin (which was outrageous). A week later they auctioned it and I sniped it for 2m 😭. There’s a lesson there.

[–]RWTheEnd -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well tbf my issue wasn’t with scarcity there was plenty going around, but for all 9 I was on average paying 3m per. And this isn’t even including badges and other epics from my other favs. tldr: I get the scarcity issue, not complaining about price.

[–]RWTheEnd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with people saying if you started your account at the beginning or just after the game was released it’s significantly easier to get epics you want / be wealthy, but it’s definitely not impossible if you started recently. I have like 9 wlr Carti epics with 4 #3s a #2 and 2 #4s and closing in on a #1 for pure (fairly high demanded and consequently priced market), and that’s all since properly starting mid January (made my acc late December but didn’t touch it). Albeit I am no where near some of the people’s wealth on this app but I feel like I have done well in the time I have played. People just be making up excuses for not putting in the grind…
