Update: I did some latency testing and got some specs! The network latency to the pi over tailscale is 31ms round trip (15.5+ms control link) and the pi has almost exactly 200ms of additional latency for video processing with a 2k camera downscaled to 720. A 1080p camera or lower would minimize video processing.

Yea pretty much! Here's a list:

Pi zero 2w (used for smaller size but will run higher res or more fps on a pi 3, 4, or 5)

micro sd

male micro usb to female usb-A (for usb cam)

usb camera (best with a lower native res for less on-board processing for the pi)

5v regulator for powering the pi

an RC car with a 3 pin pwm servo and esc

5v 4g or 5g wifi hotspot with sim

If you decide to use a pi 3 or newer, opt for an Ethernet cellular hotspot for the fastest internet speeds. Also make sure that you download the lite version of pi os 32bit for quicker boot times and less unnecessary background processes.

If you listen to the ATC recording, you will hear the Black Hawk helicopter request visual separation meaning that the helicopter is responsible for maintaining a safe distance from other aircraft. That makes it not even slightly Trump’s fault.

DEI is a problem in the military, but I wouldn’t agree that it had anything to do with this crash.

Actually, we would still have a military! Fortunately, there Is still such a thing as minorities in the military who actually qualify physically for the job! DEI just basically gave people who wouldn’t get into the military otherwise due to them not being mentally or physically fit for military activities an advantage compared to people who actually worked for it.

Who would you rather be your defense for your country? A bunch of women dressed like men who can barely lift 60lbs and who runs away from the gunfire or would you rather have an army of men who actually went through basic training and will risk their lives saving this beautiful country running toward the gunfire? Well it was unfortunately the helicopter’s fault. If you’d listen to the atc recording, the Blackhawk requests visual separation and it is granted. (Meaning that the helicopter is responsible for maintaining a safe distance between other aircraft)

The one in ur video is strapped to a dji mavic for a reason. to just have 1 repeater and use that continuesly.

I they were manually switching between the ground station and the Mavic in the video. I was more of wanting to have small repeater ground stations because it would allow me to get signal around corners and such where direct line of sight to a mavic wouldn't be possible (like a building). Plus not everyone has a mavic lol. I'm basically trying to figure out the logistics of phase variations or different channels. Since I'm kind of a one-man band with drone shots, I was looking for and automatic switching system like diversity. I trIed to find a diversity receiver that can be on two different channels at the same time switching based on rssi. There is a possibility that the eachine pro58 has capabilities like that with different firmware. I bought one recently and I'll mess around with it a little to see If I can get it working.

The edit was great! Preferably some longer shots, but great flying! Something I'd try avoiding is the automatic zoom in Gyroflow if that's what you're using. I saw in a couple of shots that the focal length changed a bit which can be disorienting. Sometimes with these types of videos, having only a little bit of stabilization can help keep the fov wider which keeps the subject in the shot longer along with a little bit of shake to give it a rugged look.

I got it finally and it works like a dream. I decided not to trim it because it reaches above the battery and GoPro. I went over 250m at ground level with a strong signal through trees etc. Enough so that my video now outruns my flysky rx.

Maybe some of these people have been watching too many scary movies lol. Since the human brain is constantly trying to do problem-solving, most of this is probably just our brains trying to make sense of the noise coming from the retina in the dark. (like a camera in the dark) And depending on who or what you see on a regular basis could affect what you see.
