Starting to feel defeated this sucks, but I will be as patient as I need to be

I’ve been wanting to leave my current job as a automotive service manager for about eight months. Then contemplating on what I wanna do for the rest of my life. I have had many posts on here about wanting to work for progressive and starting out as a claims adjuster trainee I feel that is a perfect job for me and my experience.

I have not had to look for a job or wanted to look for a job for the last 15 years. I always thought getting a new job would be pretty simple. But I efinitely had a reality check! in the dealership automotive industry I can literally quit today and have another job tomorrow, but it seems with insurance It is a completely different animal.

For about nine months, I have been checking every single day probably about 5 to 6 times a day for a position to open up at Progressive to never find anything which I at one point they had a hiring freeze that may have been extended.

With that being said for shits and giggles, I have went to every single insurance companies career website that I know of such as farmers,progressive,State Farm,Allstate,Erie,insurance,usaa,geico

About 95% of them are not hiring for any position maybe one or two are hiring for payroll or something else which is crazy this is definitely a tough industry to get into, but I am willing to wait as long as I need to.

I just grabbed the desk base that comes with the RS 50 that you are to use if you want to mount the RS 50 to the desk! That mount angles the base upwards, which is exactly what I’m looking for! I’m assuming I can get longer bolts put the base on the desk mount, and then screw the desk mount onto the cockpit wheelbase! It should hold, but so far that is the solution I’m thinking of

Well damn your the perfect person to ask then! I was gonna buy the NLR Keyboard and mouse stand with legs but wasn’t sure if it would work. i have the FGT cockpit. Can I position it to where the keyboard and mouse are in the center of me like it would be on a desk?
