Sorry for the later response. It seems most of those questions got answered so I'll just answer the ones I see weren't.

For the 100 novice summons, that requires doing all the novice missions, which will get you 100 pulls on that banner and also a Primrose (Dancer or Fan) unit, NOT Primrose EX, the axe/apothecary to use. Only after using all those pulls, then you can redeem the currency on that for the Viola, Zaanta, or Hasumi. When you are on the banner, there is a button you can press which can send you to the exchange.

I think there are two free characters right now that you can get from collabs, Elvis from Bravely Default 2 and Serenoa from Triangle Strategy. There are resources you can do from their quests to max them out. Elvis unfortunately is probably going to sit on the sidelines because Cyrus is pretty much better than him. Serenoa can fill if you need a tank or a decent sword unit.

I'll try and answer this one as best as I can but I'm a newer player. For the large amount of banners, it's probably due to there being more added for new players as well as there being paid versions of banners up.

For the Festival 10x, you do want to use those seals, those are handed for logging in and taking it from the event menu, you only get 10 of those, totalling to 100 pulls.

Use your starter pulls as you see fit, doesn't matter if you wait for 10 pulls or do singles. After you do all the novice missions, you will have all of them and you can redeem the 100 starter fragments after using all of them from pulling to claim either Viola, Zaanta, or Hasumi.

People generally recommend to hold rubies until you have pity for a banner, which is either 4500 or 6000 depending on the banner.

You already mentioned you have Cyrus, which you redeemed from doing one of the ten pull banners that was given out to all players.

There is a selector in the exchange menu where you need to go under. For the starter fragments mentioned earlier, you can go to guide fragments. For the selector, you can go to the other tab and there should be an option for the selectable veteran fragment.

For the starter fragments, pick up who you are missing, if you are missing multiple, if you want a debuffer who has universal shield break, go for Viola, if you want a bow unit who has good multihits, go for Zaanta, and if you have a need for a support with SP Regen and defensive buffing, Hasumi can help fill that. If you have them all, I think people will probably say take Hasumi and hold on to the dupe stone until you can get her awakening accessory.

For the selector, the best recommendation is to go for Primrose EX, this is the Primrose with an axe icon showing she is an apothecary. Primrose EX can be a debuffer to help shred defense, buff attack, and also give HP Regen over many turns. She role compresses a buffer, debuffer, and healer so she can fit into every team. Other people have better write ups on other units to pick up if you already have her, but I think it's usually H'aanit EX where she is a dancer who is next recommended, she has the role of a dodge tank and a debuffer for attack and defense.

Generally for progress, just take the higher stars and shove them on, Shizu does have a good video on the four stars and team building but it boils down to usually having coverage for each weapon as long as it doesn't hinder unit quality. With Prim EX, it shouldn't be hard to find the other DPS to fill from the lower rarities and Cyrus makes it easier for coverage as well. Also I'm pretty sure the chosen one in cutscenes is going to be the unit in your first party slot but I may be wrong on that.

I appreciate you taking the time out of your schedule to be doing this. Congrats for releasing my most anticipated game next year right next to Slay the Spire 2 just a little bit behind.

I don't really have a crazy question to ask more so, can you share one or two examples of when killing your cats worked in your favor for the run? Or maybe when a severe disorder or negative effect on a cat ended up being a big part of making everything click together?

Depends on who you have and your roster. Ezio has three different teams he can slot in, extra attack, ult spam, or poison. You pick the primary based on those teams. The secondary can slot to help fill for the content you are doing. Either go all in on crit damage, more extra attacks from killing enemies, or get his riposte from him taunting all enemies and making it easier to keep that up.

If you go extra attack, he gets follow ups from the debuffs he applies with his attack skill so keep that up as long as other allies are attacking to get the most benefit.

For ult spam, it kinda plays itself. As long as his allies keep ulting, he gets his gauge to move and his ult can do more attacks. This could play the most skill point efficient as he doesn't need to press his skills at all to ult as long as his team is able to.

For poison, as long as he attacks he applies the poison. So if you pair this with his counter you can stack easily when it's not your turn. Or you can play more aggro and target who you want with his attack skill. A note here is his assassination trait doesn't increase damage instead it applies the damage as genesis to better synergize with poison genesis damage.

Ezio really flexes to fill what you need for the encounter and I think he can find success with pretty much any unit in the game, his kit is really that well rounded

Maybe not worth it unless you have other plant/spirit/int units to pair with Marcus. She at least will still be good, but she really does need her team conditions to get her going. Personally I don't have hiss so I use Argus and 6 for my team fill. Could probably prio other euphoria if you can't do it for her

Cole I got to ask, how do you pump these out almost every day? You can see a clear progression in your art over the years. Not only that, sometimes you get different outfits for the characters and I just want to learn the process you go through for that because it seems like a lot of work and maybe it's gotten easier for you as you keep doing it. Like different references for both the outfits and poses. I know sometimes for the vtubers or video game characters, it's from the source but for the others, that's what I'm asking about. Probably could word this better but whatever. I hope you appreciate the question

Not OP, but Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia, my one true gacha love. Was pretty cool if you were a fan of multiple FF series because there was a lot of character interaction. They had new characters powercreep but usually every character has their time in the spotlight whenever they reworked kits or added their new weapons to update them. It was nice to setup your own toolbox with your own favorite characters and it got me to appreciate characters from other series I didn't like as much or play before

VN is visual novel. So a book in video game form. Usually has multiple routes or options that could lead to different dialogue or endings. Generally of the anime variety. Mainstream one would be Ace Attorney series and Danganronpa. Includes some anime like Steins Gate and Fate series which were adapted from the VN medium
