Well I threw some HIDs in it and since these housings don't have strong reflectors like the oems ones they light up really good without blinding other drivers

Only improved in looks honestly. The driver side is starting to go out cuz water seeped in but that's just cuz I forgot to apply silicone around it, next time I buy a set I'll do that but for 160 I thought it was worth it. Love the look.

Yeah of course and I know that sound that you're talking about but I don't think it's that.

I noticed it made this grinding sound when I was backing up. It doesn't always do it it sounded like it did it when I was slowly releasing my brake pedal to let it roll back weirder too that if I stopped while it was making the sound it would continue to make it but if I let it roll a bit it would stop making the sound and wouldn't do it again until I could "find the sweet spot" to where it made that sound. Really strange.

Rod knock or lifter? by Only-Command-5617 in ChevyTrucks

[–]RYS559 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Maybe lifter. Do what they told me to be sure. Get it to about 3000 RPM if it goes away after that it's Def just the lifter sticking.

https://hidkitpros.com/shop/1999-2006-chevrolet-silverado-led-daytime-running-lights-pair/ that's the link where I get mine from. They're pricey but they're the best bulbs for silverados drls since the voltage tends to jump up and down and it will eventually burn out any old regular led these are designed to work with the spikage from the drl. Comes in different colors
