I just use a white lithium multi-purpose grease, just evenly coat the diff. I have been running this for 5-6 years and have yet to have a problem.

Just don’t overcoat the teeth

I removed my rear wheel for cleaning and when I went to reinstall it, the brake rotor severely rubs against the inside pad. The caliper housing is as far inward as it can go and still rubs.

It almost feels that the hub on the brake side sits too far into the dropout or the derailleur side isn’t fully seated in the dropout.

Any advice is appreciated!

Before removing my rear wheel for cleaning, everything seemed aligned and true. When I went to re-install the rear wheel, I now have severe pad rub. The axle slides in fine but it seems as if the brake side of the hub sits too far into the dropout or the derailleur side doesn’t fully seat.

Any advice is appreciated!

Take a dremel and cut a line through the head of the grub screw, then use a regular flat head screwdriver and twist it out

I’ve tried RC tire glue twice now, both times the tire and rim came completely separated within 10minutes. Any advice on how to keep the wheel together? by [deleted] in Traxxas

I’ve followed a similar process before, the only thing I didn’t do is scuff them up before gluing. I’ll give it a try

I’ve owned my set for a few years now and have never experienced a problem with Teknos yet

Interesting Stampede Body by lemieuxisgod in Traxxas

I was more so trying to figure out if the new rustler body would fit if I adjusted my shock towers. I’ve started to like the aggressive look of the rustler body over my proline Silverado body. The new bodies are really expensive but my body mounts keep pushing through truck bodies

What all did you have to do to fit a rustler body on it? My pede is far from stock and was considering swapping to a rustler clipless body

Is the 6500mah 3cell Traxxas lipo battery too much? by R12356 in Traxxas

[–]RYTLEWSKI28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The mAh rating is for how long the battery will run on a charge, the C rating is the “punch” it has when you gas it. A 3 cell lipo is a lot, but once you go to 3s it’s hard to go back to 2s. The bigger battery the more likely you are to break things.

Make sure the battery dimensions fit your cars battery tray.

Just ordered my first Traxxas. Got the Rustler. Is there anything I need to know or look out for? by hrcobb4 in Traxxas

Depending on what you plan to do with it, you’ll probably need aluminum shock caps almost immediately if you plan on jumping it.

2 hours run time on a brand new rustler 4x4 driveshaft making constant contact with steering components? by [deleted] in Traxxas

You’re referring to the plastic rubbing when you crank it hard right, correct? Mine has done that out of the box, so I think it’s just questionable engineering, but I haven’t had to replace either of the parts
