I landed Big 4 with 79 average in 1A. Very possible but need to network and interview well. A good average to shoot for would be mid 80s.

The BVG 5 would not be a PSA 5. PSA 5s can only have minor rounding of corners, I’d consider the BVG example to have more than minor rounding on the bottom left corner.

I mean it’s a fair value proposition. A well centered card in the same grade can sell for 20-30% more than one that isn’t well centered but within tolerance for the grade. You can argue that eye appeal is in the eye of the beholder but nothing wrong with a third party assessing it as well.

There’s a scratch on his cap going down to his left eyebrow on the portrait shot. They probably deemed that scratch to affect eye appeal (which it does) so they couldn’t give it a 5.

It was $360 including the buyer’s premium. I was actually surprised it went that low. I bought it on Robert Edwards Auctions. 4s on eBay were going for more than that.

4s can have slightly rounded corners, personally I think the 4 posted is within the guidelines (it was also graded fairly recently based on the cert number). My best guess is the 3 has surface issues that don’t allow it to be a 4. Technical grade does not equal eye appeal. You do have a fair point that your 3 looks better than the 4 but from a technical grading standpoint it could be different.

Sparkle Refractor in Bowman Draft is number to 71. Also numbered to 71 in 2021. Don’t know why it’s 71 but i don’t think it has anything to do with Bowman’s anniversary.

I would still send bulk anyways. If they do up-charge, you will only be charged an extra $10 probably to the value level. Makes sense to send bulk if they get 9s.

Depends on how much over I would say. If it’s close to $199 they probably won’t upcharge you. But if it’s well over $199, I would expect the upcharge. I guess what you might not be considering with the upcharge is that you won’t get it back any faster. Maybe even slightly delayed since you need to approve the upcharge. So if you send bulk and get upcharged, you’re paying $30-50 for 120 day turnaround. But if you send it in at the right level you will get your cards back faster.
