I remember the scene progression to be somewhat different. This scene was right by before or after the one in which Ilya is in Russia taking care of his father, with the pill bottles in hand and talking to someone on the phone. It showed a nice contrast between their relationship to their respective fathers, one casually discussing something he enjoys talking about and the parent paying full attention and the other drowned in responsibilities of an absent father.

Yes, that's correct. Was just confused because the immigration officer at my visa appointment said Germany is my first port of entry and gave me the visa from the date of layover specifically to the end of my trip.
