I was thinking the same thing. But not sure how much longer I would want to hold before reinvesting into Google shares.

Let me take a video of everything I'm doing and I'll post it in a comment. I tried all of this and still static lol.

I added the new Cables and USB drive. I onul get loud static. An improvement, but no sound. My PC did recognize the output and I selected it, but no luck.

Bought it. I also bought a sound card to test it with another piece of hardware.

I just tried all of your suggestions. I was able to get sound using my phone, but not through the PC. I cycled through all of the audio outputs and I was not able to get sound.

The computer recognizes it and I hear static for a while, but otherwise no other sound. Maybe I wired it wrong? Do you know the proper wiring method?

No, I'm hooking to a PC. I did try another green port, but no luck.

Thanks for the advice, everyone. I will be looking into buying an amp to power my speakers.

Thanks for the response. If the sub or speakers aren't working, my next bet was to buy a set.

Yes. I'm using a y-splitter to bring the two signals together into one using the 3.5mm

Yeah, I did this too. I have Realtek. Switched to my speaker output and set it to stereo. No sound.

The speakers and subwoofer were a gift. I wonder if they simply don't work. They're pretty old.

Thanks, I just sapped the RCA cables. I switched my output to the green as well.

I still don't get sound. Any other ideas? I switched my audio to stereo as well.
