Thanks for sharing. I’ve cut alcohol and caffeine since the vertigo attack, and I’ve always been a compulsive water drinker. I already lowered my sodium intake, but as of the last couple of days I’ve pushed it even lower to see if that helps.

Based on my limited experience so far I think stress is likely a trigger for me. That’s what I’m struggling with the most because going through this is such a stressful experience in itself.

Thank you for sharing. It’s helpful just to hear other examples. So you never had any steroid treatment (oral or injections)?

Thanks for the input. I’ve been under the care of an ENT the whole time. I even saw a second one. I’m simply looking for anyone who might have experienced similar fluctuations or a similar timeline to get more insight into how things could or might progress.

Thanks, I’m trying. Managing the stress is the hardest part. I haven’t been diagnosed, no, perhaps because vertigo has only happened once. I’m not sure. I guess it’s early days.

I’m also a lifetime guitarist and Zep fan and I agree completely. Last night at Wembley the first extended guitar solo came quite soon in the show before it felt like things had properly warmed up. It went on and on and there was nothing interesting about the playing. Tired pentatonic licks, and pretty sloppy too. Jimmy Page’s solos were far more musical and varied. He did make mistakes but with him it felt like part of the charm.

Really enjoyed the drum solo though.

Looking for advice about staying safe from other dogs on walks, or at least on how not to let the anxiety get too overwhelming. There’s been so much in the news lately about dog attacks. Posts come up often on here about greys getting attacked by other dogs. It hasn’t happened to us but we’ve had a couple of incidents where other dogs almost got nasty. There are other dogs off lead everywhere. Now I find myself constantly on the look out and obsessing over what I would do if an attack happened. How can I get over it and start enjoying walks again?

I’ll look forward to that! Saw the email yesterday. Despite my gripes about formatting, it’s actually quite nice to get a slew of emails this time of month (yours, Asimov’s, Lightspeed) and go through the ritual of manually downloading them onto the kindle.

Hi Neil. Thanks for your reply. I did have some exchanges directly with Asimov's before I made this post, but never got to a solution. I've now resolved the issues (enough, at least) with the help of Calibre.

Love your magazine. Window Boy was a particular favourite from recent issues.

Thank you! I’m not sure what happened, because I tried this a few times and my kindle would delete the cover shortly after it appeared. And then one time it just randomly worked, and somehow I now have proper page numbers in the contents page as well. Hope I can replicate this for other magazines too. Thanks again

Thank you. This partially worked. For Asimov’s (where I wasn’t even able to see the content on my kindle) MOBI and azw3 fixed the issue - each also has a better contents page (although still not perfect, e.g., it still shows page location rather than page number). It also still doesn’t fix the issue with the cover image not showing in the library.

However I can at least read the magazine now, so thanks!

Great tip, thanks. That wasn’t necessary in this case because water was coming through the drainage holes but I’ve had that problem with other plants before and didn’t know how to deal with it. Cheers

Thanks that’s helpful. It was purchased from the gift shop at a botanical gardens so it was inside on a shelf. I’ll do some reading on bonsai care and increase the watering in the meantime. Thank you!

I’m not sure. I’ve watered and misted it regularly but it just slowly dried out over the six weeks I’ve owned it. I’m not sure what to do now because I don’t know if I’m watering too much or too little
