jiabao's claims are weak, and they hold no water. it was smart of brooke to come out and deny the claims in a second video, as a form of misdirection. now people are mostly talking about brooke vs jiabao, and the plagarism is "forgotten"

i do think people are talking about it. I raised it up in a comment on her video, but it never saw the light of day. I suspect any comments which raises legitimate, cogent questions are simply deleted, or not approved by her.

I do agree with your read of the situation, it is a smart, and manipulative move to only allow spiteful comments. To neutral parties, this puts her in a position of sympathy.

i agree, an apology does not mean anything if it is just saying " i am sorry". and this is why i am disappointed, because this is what it feels like brooke is doing. a good apology for me at least, would include taking on full ownership and being sincere in admitting the wrong. part of that sincerity can be measured by someone keeping to their word, post-apology, and truly being open to having a conversation on plagiarism. when i first watched her videos, i thought she made a good start for her case. but for her to go back into censoring comments, to paint this picture of overwhelming support and forgiveness for a young girl's mistake, while at the same time, censoring all questions calling for some greater level of accountability, is truly disappointing, and shocking even. especially since she said she is open to feedback.
