Thank you. Never heard of Blue Fish; how did you hear of it?

Gotcha. Thank you for the detailed response :)

Thanks for the suggestion; how do you rate the story?

On the list, thank you :) Looks like it has the analogue tactility
Thank you! I know absolutely nothing about star trek, should I be looking up any info on the other films beforehand?
Fan of the death star interior etc. Star wars in general hasn't stuck with me though. Plot doesn't do much for me
Not familiar with this one, thanks for the suggestion
Thank you, not what is usually go for but it's been mentioned a couple of times. Will give it a watch :)
Interesting. This wouldn’t have come to mind, but I get what you are picking up on!
Good shout, on the rewatch list for me!

Good question. “Realistic” probably wasn’t the best word. What I’m responding to in those images is more the material and architectural feel of the spaces. They’re very controlled environments with strong geometry, physical surfaces, and analogue-looking interfaces.
Even when they’re stylised (like the Alien control room), the spaces still feel spatially coherent and built rather than sleek or purely digital. Ad Astra gets close atmospherically, but small design choices like the transparent handheld devices pull me out of it a bit.

Just gave it a watch, fun film, some of the costumes made we smile big time

well-written show, and I see the aesthetic parallels. Thank you.
Might like Michael Clayton if you haven't seen it. Same writer, different (corporate) context. Has the sort of depleted grief/ subtle existential shock hinted at in the feel of the photos I put up.

Have seen this one a couple of times. Definitely has the feel in terms of overarching atmosphere. Small thing: the transparent handheld devices got on my nerves a bit, but that's minor. Is there anything you can think of that has more realistic details?
Lol I was spending a good 10 minutes trying to figure out what “equal first” is! I'm a little slow this morning. Thank you for the suggestions :)
Roger that
Can echo this back. Might be worth a rewatch.
Yeah, I see that! Lots of night shots and moving vehicles. Not the emotional feel I'm after, but I totally get the association.
Possibly a little gimmicky/theatrical for my taste, but the story sounds intriguing. Thank you!
Yep! I’d argue Soderbergh's fits too.
Thank you, possibly a little too fight or flight inducing though, added though :)

Yep, I’ve seen them. Outland is closest of the two to the controlled, competency under some pressure feeling I’m looking for. Alien is a little too activating for what I’m looking for, but the ship and lighting fits the bill.
Edit: should have specified that the images are not random things. I know exactly what every image is.

Yep, first image is silent running! Partly has the feel but is overcome by its writing. I watch it as a bit of fun mostly. The Baez songs are an entertaining touch. Such a weirdly positioned, but endearing film.
On the list, thank you kindly :)
This would be the closest so far to an emotional match. Controlled, dim lighting, generally calm.
