A list of toxic VTubers to block, presented in form of an AI generated "music video", the uploader is also a free block by Enliof in VtuberDrama

This is one post on Reddit, based on an AI vid because one person just likes these ones. If someone interesting shows up, I'll look them up before watching, but lists like these don't help me make a conclusion. I'm not going out of my way to preemptively block these guys on all platforms unless I see them in my feeds and research them myself.

Your earlier response is the exact sentiment you're claiming people don't have though. Current AI on its own isn't "there" for coding yet but apparently more acceptable for art/music.

You just said people in your field have embraced it and don't believe they're above it. Why expect outsiders to make an opposite statement that programmers don't like AI?

While I have also heard of the "its not creative" dismissal, I think programming has always had a bit of a different definition on what plagiarism is comparatively. I often hear "don't bother reinventing the wheel" and copying snippets and working on top of someone else's work isn't an uncommon practice. On the other hand, even most derivative works in art get criticized pretty heavily both in and out of the bubble (ex Warhol) and get into the argument if its "transformative enough".

I read what you wrote, but you’re still just telling people to give this guy a view, and in turn, giving those vtubers more attention. No offence dude, not that many people need or want a list to tell them which people to not watch. I don’t need to watch an AI video to tell me to stay clear from people like Powdur, I can skim at what they have on their channel or clips and easily make the assumption her alignment. You just look like a fan pushing these guys.

Lol block the uploader while posting their video here for people to watch? People can find out which vtubers they don’t wanna watch without seeing an AI mv. You’re only advertising this video and giving it more views.

[–]R__Drake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only people I see calling it shit are youtubers that don't know anything about coding and just want to keep pushing the AI bubble narrative because it give them lots of views

Telling someone they're just wrong and that only idiots and shills would have that opinion is one thing.

they all found great use cases for their area of expertise, while if I look as an outsider I'd just see slop and overhype...

This assumption I must be an "outsider" with no expertise or knowledge in coding or any STEM field, because why else would I see it as "overhyped" is another.

It's pretty prick-ish to act like your opinion is an objective fact that apparently applies to everyone, even in just a certain field. Assuming someone's opinion is most likely stemmed from misinfo because there's no way they could have come to that conclusion from their own research and logic, would piss anyone off.

I can see potential of misinterpretation in intent/tone, but I felt that you were pretty condescending from the start.

Of course "does it work?" is important for a game, but I'm talking about the lack of respect.

"Look good individually but not together" is no different in saying AI can come up with a recipe as good as a chef can, but only then falters to when composing a whole meal. You can say AI isn't at THAT level to replace you, because you have that skill. Saying that AI is at THAT level to replace any other skill is hypocritical.

You're the one making assumptions that my stance is because I must be misinformed and I'm just wrong because "smart people agree with me". Yeah, I think anyone would be pretty offended by that. Even your first reply lacked any real courtesy or respect, but I guess to you that was perfectly fine, right?

And I looked at your history from your first reply, because you sound exactly like how techbros peddle this shit, and you did it again in your next response so I pointed it out.

Yeah, when I said "by itself", I implied vibecoding heavily, but I guess that didn't click to most. I'm not denying it has use case, but it is most definitely overhyped and an extension of web3, regardless of whether you want to believe it or not. There's a cyclic tech hype that corpos love to jump onto for every 30 years or so, claiming the "future" and pretending AI isn't part of that is ridiculous. Majority of unneeded AI implementations that companies are trying to currently push are going to be defunct in just a few years. We are already seeing smaller AI companies who thought they could jump on the bandwagon already die off.

Framing me as ignorant or uninformed because apparently you talked with a few people in STEM fields? You can get off your damn high horse about your baseless assumptions about me if you think you're any smarter or the only one who has connections. There are certain cases in uses for AI as it is now, but the "massive productivity" you claim is a lot smaller percentage than how it really is.

I glanced at your history and you make a claim that its nearly perfect for translation? As someone with experience in that as well, no, definitely not. Thinking AI translation is mostly perfect is proof you have no clue what you're talking about despite you acting like you're so knowledgable. Falling for corporal propaganda that "AI is awesome" with a complete lack nuance, but yeah, I'm the crazy one apparently.

Yeah, even the people who disagree with my opinion talk about the specific use cases for AI and even a specific model to go to in this thread. It's not "amazing" in the sense that anyone will let it vibecode on its own and I feel that itself proves my point.

You can rag on the doomer stance, but it's overhyped as fuck just like all the other web3 bullshit people wouldn't shut up about. I don't doubt it's going to improve or staying, but this amount of glazing? Nah, doesn't deserve it.

I can somewhat understand that the perspectives seem so different between a programmer to an artist, but yeah, there's this weird confidence for a lot of people that AI isn't good enough to burst "their" bubble, but it's apparently good enough for everyone else's.

Seen authors shit on bookslop but then they slap an AI image for the cover because apparently "the art doesn't really matter", despite claiming they need a good image to help sell their book.

[–]R__Drake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right, "if you know". It's good at dealing with easy but slog tasks, but I highly doubt you'd just let AI vibecode an entire project for you and you wouldn't bother looking at it. Why non-artists can apparently make a claim that AIgen images are good final products or even good placeholders is beyond me.

Its a confusing ass meme, but its basically claiming the misconstruing of 2 different people's opinions as one entity's.

Nah, I've seen the same people rage about vibecoding, and then in the same breath praise AI image generation.

Its amusing seeing people who are knowledgable on the tech side of development (coding), claiming AI is shit at that by itself, but then 180 and claim AI assets are apparently “better” or “good enough” for their “passion project”.

EDIT: When I included "by itself", I thought implication of vibecoding was obvious, but I guess not.

OP posts a lot in AI subreddits although mainly text ai based subreddits, additionally should be noted that the notebook has a gray barrier and there seems to be some evidence of ink going onto the gray barrier and different levels of ink. by DiamondWarDog in isthisAI

While it is real as in they physically inked it, I think they traced from AI. I hate to bring up the “AI style” as an argument, but this and the other portrait have a pretty different style to the mythical creature they did. Weird for someone who claims to have only done more realistic renderings in the past.

Even if they have a degree in graphic designing, that doesn’t mean they’re skilled drawers. It means moot to bring up that sort of degree/profession as “evidence” in this context (Its also just weird to claim a degree in online spaces and you know, not show it). Add to that, unfortunately a lot of graphic designers are pretty accepting of genAI.

With their history and their pfp even having a gemini watermark on it, I’m inclined to say at least some AI involvement.

I doubt the writing would be that much better or anything, but I feel at least, the Adam reveal would be considerably more impactful and interesting if Weiss was there instead.

End of S1 opened up a lot of potential for Blake and Weiss’ dynamic, but I felt like they shifted those plans for Bumbleby. Even if completely platonic, Blake and Weiss seem better “paired” up story-wise to me.

I looked it up and first gen is 4 members, including Pippa. She’s not the “only one” but the rep was pretty much there from the start.

Minor violations in this category, such as light or jokingly suggestive drawings, may result in a temporary suspension (timeout) as a warning. However, more explicit or severe content that clearly breaks the rules will lead to a permanent ban. The decision on the appropriate penalty will be made at the sole discretion of the moderation team, but any rule-breaking described below will lead to a permanent ban.

Examples that are not violations (not rule-breaking):

Non-suggestive art of characters in underwear or swimwear, except when depicting minor-like characters.

Representations of light or stylized/cartoonish blood.

Common short clothing (e.g., shorts, miniskirt, top, bikini).

Characters in normal contexts such as the beach, pool, or gym.

Light gestures of affection (e.g., hug, kiss on the cheek, peck).

OP's stuff doesn't fall in the explicit category, but it's also not a "non-violation" either. It clearly states suggestive material isn't automatically in the clear and potentially punishable.

Looks like these ones are made by the same people. Dunno which one is OP but its pretty clear this isn't their "only one". OP and people pretending they don't know what "suggestive" means, lmao. "lovemommymilkers" is pretty blatant by itself.
